El Rey II Restaurant
Posted by Lee on 06/15/2014
I normally enjoy my visits to this restaurant, but this visit had me so annoyed I had to share. Service was very minimal and no one to complain to. The entire staff saw my aggravation and did nothing. Our food was bought out at3 different times. We were never refilled water or checked on for anything additional. Although she walked past us more than 10 times and KNEW we required her attention! I'd like to see more professionalism in the restaurant.

Great food and prices are great. The only problem is if your dinning in there is no one to seat you or great you. You sit yourself dow. Now here's the problem when u speak spanish they come to you first even though you may have not been first in sitting down. Then the waitresses take long to come to you. They need a hostess so you know who came in first so that everything is in order.

The Rey II restaurant is a good restaurant to eat in/take out spanish food. The pasteles en hojas are tasty as well as the mofongo. The only downside is the size portions have been reduced and I found pricey. I know the cost of living went up but come on…..habichuelas? an extra buck for a medium size. Come on. The extra was more liquid than anything else in the container. But if you want or have "deseo" or a desire to eat spanish food in the way going home…try The Rey II…..

This is a great restaurant. I love the quality and quantity of the food. The only downfall of this restaurant is their customer service over the phone. I understand this is a spanish speaking restaurant. However Latino's are not the only people that eat spanish food. I just don't understand how the person that takes your order over the phone doesn't speak english. Come on now hire somebody that speaks english and spanish!
