the service is poor and the food is mediocre i bought beans from them to go and when i got home and opened it they smelled and were RANCID! a big dissappointment not to mention the service they serve whoever they want in the order they choose and they are extremely slow i am never going back i'd rather stay home and cook a meal i know will taste 10 times better than what they're slinging

This place is kind of a hole in the wall, location is very busy, however food is great & good portions, try the lemonade, awesome!

The waiters are not friendly at all. You stand in front of the counter and the impression that you will get from them is that you are bothering them and that they want to get rid of you asap. I ordered White Rice and Red Beans with roasted chicken; The rice was bland, and the chicken was so dry that it was very hard to peel the meat, (I did not eat that chicken). however, the beans were excellent.

Not sure if they hired the same cook but the remodeled atmosphere is cozy with an opportunity to watch the latest game while waiting for your order. The order of chicharon de pollo con el arroz con gandules weren't quite the same from my previous visit before the remodeling. The pulpo salad,macaroni and shrimp salads are great. They even had fresh fruit salad, yummm. My order of chicken was not very good and neither was the rice which came out bland if you ask me. Compared to a recent visit I had at the famous Sazon's this restaurant pales in comparison, But maybe that isn't quite fare to even contrast the two. The wait is long as I anticipated for some real great love and care being placed behind the cooking. I was disappointed. The atmosphere is quite nice for a little rondevue with a sweetheart but the delivery and taste can be kicked up a notch!
