    Interesting experience

The place has an interesting decor with tiki ceiling, a rooster and bananas hanging down from it. It also has very nice live music, that could make it worth visiting by itself. Prices are rather steep, with a median of about $30 per entree, but the portions are generous. We had a seafood combination in a bowl made of butternut squash, which was delicious and enough for two. The only minus is that our waiter almost spoke no English, but if you know Spanish that should not be a problem.

    Delicious Food/Comida Sabroso

I can deal with the hard wicker chairs its all part of the ambiance but the staff is not very friendly. They do the minimum such as taking your order but dont expect service with a smile, lucky the food is good!

    Inconsistent

Place is not too bad. But they are not consistent withe their food. Went there twice and ordered the same thing and both times it tasted way differently from the other one. Atmosphere is not too bad but the chairs that they have you sit on is a pain. They keep making some squeaking sounds that I could not stand through out my entire dinner

    Way too expensive

The food here can be very good....however my husband and I feel it is overpriced. We were charged 30 for a dish we were not happy with entirely. It had seafood inside yet it did not taste fantastic....just ok... Moreover they need to lower their prices down. Dominican food is exellent yet this restaurant thinks it can charge whatever price it wants and that is not cool. U can go to washington Heights and get better food, better service and much better prices!! If u go here.....make sure u look closely at the menu and prices before u order !! Don't let them surprise u at the end with a bill of $123.00 and all u ate was rice beans and fish with 2 other people.

    subpar management and service.

I went with my sister and niece looking for a place to rent for my niece's sweet sixteen b-day party. We decided to try the food which by the way was very good but the service was not, we waited such a long time for our food and our waitress never came by to see if we were o.k. Not only did we wait an eternity for our food we also waited for the manager for a very long time to show us around to see if we would be interested in renting the place. He never showed up, we kept getting excuses after excuses to the point we had to exit the place, i guess they're not interesting in doing business but what i do know is that someone needs to show management how to manage the restaurant a whole lot better.

    Great lunch! ridiculously cheap

I love this restaurant! I work in the area and I get to eat here every day from their lunch menu, which is only $4.25 At that time of the day the place is quiet and I feel like I get the royal service. I haven't been able to go during the night time, but I definitely recommend it for lunch time!
