    Authentic

I'm a native Southern Californian, so I grew up eating great Mexican food. Delicious. And unlike a previous reviewer who had an unpleasant experience with the phone order, I found the woman to be extremely pleasant and helpful,

    Great Food, Fast Delivery

I've only ordered delivery. Great Mexican Food (finally!) and the delivery is really quick. My only complaint is the lady who answers the phone and takes the delivery orders. She so rude! I don't expect her to ask me how my day's going, but can I give you my order without you cutting me off?

    Best Cheap Eats in Midtown

This place is awesome. As a chef, I'm a bit picky about dining choices and go here at least once a week. This is not your "free basket of chips and salsa" joint. I typically order for delivery because the tiny dining area is just not pretty. The food is fresh and from scratch which so few restaurants know how to do right or at all.

    Nom Nom

Phoned up, answered on the 1st ring. Friendly, quick, fluent English, no obscurely thick accent. When I arrived my food was ready (still hot). The flavour was nice (bold, but not over spiced), and the ingredients tasted authentic (the black beans tasted kinda home-made).

    Yes Reopened!

I LOVE La Paloma! It's the best and most inexpensive taco shop in my hood. I was so worried when that bldg. caught on fire and they were closed for so long. I was ecstatic when I saw the OPEN sign once again lit up. For now, they are cash only.

Glad to see La Paloma open again

I live close by and have eaten there from the very first day they opened and can't say how happy I am that they are open again after the fire last July that nearly took out the whole building. The same guys are in the kitchen so the food is a good as it was before and the menu loks identical. It's not a guilty pleasure, as one reviewer wrote, but a weekly pleasure for me.

    Where is the Flavor?

I absolutely love authentic Mexican food because of the flavors. but if you want great taste, this is not the place. I was highly disappointed. The enchiladas, rice and beans all lacked flavor. The staff was nice but the food was bland.
