    A new york attraction

Every time I have guests visit from out of town, I take them to El Pote and they fall in love. The food is fantastic, the service is exquisite and the sangria.....the best! El Pote leaves my guests with fond memories and a desire to return.

    Great service and atmosphere

I really liked this restaurant. I was expecting a much better paella, however the appetizers were all very good. Especially the olives are terrific. Don't escape the simplicity. I will go back to try some other stuff after a while; of course, unless I find a better Spanish restaurant by then. The atmosphere and service are first rate, I really liked the experience.

    Not recommended

The place itself is quaint and the staff was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about the food. The octopus was fishy, chewy, and the flavor was poor. The paella lacked flavor AND seafood, which was supposed to be the focus of the dish. Shrimp in green sauce was also not so great; what flavor it had was not good and very bland.

    Authentic Spanish meal

We had dinner here Sat nite w/ our teen girls. Having lived in Spain I found it to be very authentic - especially having an all male wait staff. Service was speedy and efficient, portions adequate, and food tasted very good. We had Seafood Paella and Veal as well as about 3 different appetizers and 4 glasses of wine (for us, not the girls) and 3 desserts and coffees and it was $136 (+tip) which I thought was very reasonable.
