El Pote Espanol
Posted by Anno Nemos on 09/26/2014
In our last three visits, we ordered Paella Valencia. It has a weird dark gray meat!? We ate it anyway. We should have returned and/or inquired what is was. Anyhow, reading the other reviews, it would be rabbit meat. Problem is, it was not id'd on the menu description.

I used menupages to make the decision to come here and the place is nothing fancy but the reviews are spot on; honest great food at the right price with no gimmicks. Thanks to all for helping with the pick; I will be back.

A simple neighborhood restaurant with extraordinary food and service. A true Spanish restaurant, not pretending to be anything else. Try the stuffed lobster, or any paella. Keep it a secret so it won't be ruined for the locals.

Been coming to El Pote for over twenty years (used to work 2 blocks away) i make it a point to eat there everytime i visit the city and it has never disappointed. local place not very fancy and probably too crowded but the food and service never miss.

I've been going here for 15 years. I don't live in the city but it's worth the trip. Very consistant from food to service. I challenge anyone to find a better stuffed lobster and it's only 26 bucks! Not a fancy place but who needs that.

In honor of Spain winning (finally!) the World Cup, I decided to treat myself to a Spanish feast. I went the next day with a friend and had a delightful time. The best mariscada in green sauce that I've had in a long while; maybe ever. The food paired with an excellent bottle of wine recommended by the staff really quenched my craving. The whole experience transported me back to my days in Madrid.

I am amazed at the ignorance of the reviewer below. The Paella Valenciana contains no seafood. It contains rabbit, chicken and often times also snails.
