Yummy! <3
I ordered from here when the other Mexican place I usually buy from was packed. I was a little hesitant because of the prices compared to my usual spot, But OMG the food was so good. I had their Chorizo Chimichanga and LOVED it. it was delicious. since that day I have been going back for more. I am so happy I ordered from here. Also unlike other people I have never had a problem with delivery's.

Great Place for A Night Out!
The food is great, no doubt, but most of the time my friends and I will just go there for their drinks! They can make any tasty cocktail under the sun and it is the perfect atmosphere for such outings. GreatT staff, always friendly and fun! Just after a couple visits, they all practically know you by name and we almost always get free shots. I always have a fun night at Porton!

The real thing
When you get tired of all the fake stuff that is called "Mexican food" that all tastes the same, come to EL PORTON. This is the authentic, fresh, Mexican cuisine. No guessing what is in the dish. All the ingredients are fresh. Their margaritas are "fabulosas". It's a "fiesta" for the eyes as well as your mouth. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff is very attentative.

5 across the board- obviously.
Mexicans meet perfection here at El Porton. Frozen Margaritas dominate and free chips. Have you been to a place with free chips? No, you haven't. Only certain, remote areas of mexico have better CHIMICHUNGAS then El Porton...so grab your sombreros and come dig it.

Why?
Mediocre and over priced. It's an OK place to sit though. Why is is so hard to find good, simple and consistent Mexican food in this part of the city?

Good food, unpleasant delivery
The food is great, not cheap, but tasty. Every single time you get something delivered the delivery guy will undoubtedly show up with just enough change to give them a fat tip. Without fail, every time. For example, ordered a $13 meal today. The guy surprisingly only has $2 singles. Nice $5 tip on a small order. I actually made a previous guy go and get change. Bake this into the amount you're expecting to spend on delivery.

Tasty Mexican, Large Portions
I had a delicious meal of vegetable fajitas (mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.) at El Porton. The corn tortillas were fresh, the white sangria was sweet but not too sweet, and the entrees were very generous. Our waitress was also very good. The only distraction? ...The country pop music playing in the background.
