    Good food

Visited Papasitos, Prior to seeing Ghetto Klown. The service was good the food was yummy. I enjoyed Carne Guisada con arroz y Tostones, my wife had the Patitas de Cerdo. We need to give credit when credit is due. Sigue Palante Papacitos Dios me los Bendiga.

Good food, just don't expect good service

This place is a hole in the wall so don't expect much if you eat there. And the service is spotty to say the least. But the food was pretty good and not too expensive, especially if you get a Restaurant.com coupon. Go for the shrimp dishes and the yellow rice. Avoid the red beans.

It's Ok but not as authentic

I've ordered from here several times because it's the closest Dominican style food to my job. The food is ok but not the best tasting. Service over the phone is fine but you have to be very clear to be understood. However, overall it's not bad and i would ordered again. They just need to follow food SPECS a little more when it's different chefs cooking.

Excellent Dominican Foods! But Bad Service!

We've been going to this restaurant and Ordering for a Long time. Most of Foods are Excellent, But Some of staff are Unhelpful and Lack of English. You have to speak Spanish well. and I've noticed that most of customer's are Dominicans or speak spanish. But as Location Center of Manhattan Hellz Kitchen, Staff Should treat all customer Equally, otherwise there will be a problem in the future.

    a bad restaurant experience

One of the worst restaurant experiences. The food is awful. The fried fish was dry, overcooked, tasteless, and too salty. However, the pepper steak was worse -- extremely salty and oily. The meat had a soggy texture and was swimming in an unpleasant tasting sauce. Worse still was getting overcharged by the owner/manager. When we came in during lunchtime with a restaurant dot com gift certificate, the staff told us that it could only be used in the evening, even though there was no such restriction mentioned on the certificate itself when I purchased it. Then the owner/manager came in and approved it. He then proceeded to take our order, offering us dish after dish we didn't order, saying each one was included with the entree. However, when the check came, it turned out none of the dishes were included. Furthermore, the prices were higher than they were on the menu!! The fish turned out to be $11 not $10, the house salad (the one that was supposed to be included) was $9 not $5. And conveniently, the manager left, so he didn't have to deal with the fallout. The staff clearly told me that this is what the manager told them to charge us and there was nothing they could do. (Oh, did I mention the tip was included?) I hope that people learn from my mistake and avoid this place like the plague.
