Live Flamenco Saturday Nights!!
Show was awesome! Great crowd, great food and cheap! =0) Saturday nights are the BEST! They have live Flamenco and I think other music too. Our service was great... as for the comment below: Ceviche is supposed to be cold!

Stumbled upon a crisp cold Christmas evening
On my unexpected/unplanned hike from the Landmark Sunshine movie theater over the Brooklyn Bridge, I trekked my way homeward to Astoria, Queens. At that point of discovery, I was feeling irritably peckish so I started to look for a viable place to eat. Christmas evening and these guys are still open?! For that alone I am grateful! But the Mexican food was the best I have had eaten since moving to NYC 9 years ago. The presentation of the food was the biggest surprise! Nachos supremo with mouthwatering chorizo as my appetizer. Enchiladas El moderno style (mushrooms and spinich) was my entree. The great delicious food was served with flair. The service was friendly to boot. The best lemonade or was it limonade (?) I have ever remembered having. The only true negative was when the Boston Celtics lost to those tykes from Orlando! Still not the problem of el moderno. :-p A great discovery that more people need to stumble intentionally upon!

excellente
this place was delicious, way more so than i had expected. i ordered the vegetable burrito which was wonderful and came with a teeny refreshing side salad (i was puzzled, however that it contained broccoli, which does'nt seem to me to be a very common mexican vegetable) and my partner got the ceviche des camarones, which was absolutely fantastic! i was jealous. pina coladas were tasty and the mojito was right on time, and super cheap to boot.

Good Margs & Chips; Poor Service
While the salsa here is good, and the margaritas cheap, the main dish we ordered, Ceviche De Camarones, was cold, probably because the waitress didn't check to see if it was ready because she was standing behind the bar watching TV. She was nice enough to get us a side of jalapenos--but all other service was slow--especially getting the bill--and there wasn't good reason as the place was almost empty. Guac here is pretty standard.

love it!
i go here a few times a month and i love it! the fresh chips are salsa are great, margaritas are amazing and the spicy veggie tacos are delicious!

Delish Burgers
The mexican burger is amazing!!! Cooked to order, extremely juicy. Finally, a burger that is actually spicy.

Best margs!
Go here all the time for on the rocks margaritas. you cant beat them. and they are only $5!! ive traveled around plenty and these margs are no joke. pretty awesome. my friends get hooked everytime i bring them
