    Superb!

This is the best Mexican restaurant I've found in NYC. The food is top-notch. The people who serve tables are intelligent and warm. Most important, the kitchen folk actually care about what they're doing. They care about the food and about the customers.

    This place rocks!

Easily the best Mexican restaurant in NYC. The food is amazing at a reasonable price. The burritos are superb, salsa and other sauces excellent, and definitely try the flan! The service is superb; the wait staff is very friendly. It has a small, comfortable, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere---like a real Mexican comedor.

    Best Mexican food since Texas!

I moved from Texas recently and have tried many, many Mexican restaurants. That is, until I tried El Maguey Y La Tuna. Their burritos are fabulous--as is anything with their sauces, which is most everything on the menu. The people are always so friendly, and they always remember me and my favorite order! I would highly recommend their margaritas and sangria, as well. $4 during happy hour, and I don't know if I've ever had a margarita so tasty!

    Great and Authentic!

This place is so authentic and cheap. It has the greatest service, too. Best authentic Mexican in the city.

    A little piece of Mexico

The food was great, the service was great, and the ambiance was nice. It seems to be a great place to bring your kids to. I've gone back since the first time I went there and everything seems to stay the same. It's not too trendy and yet not your regular little Mexican place. Overall, I completely recommend it in every way.

    Amazing Place

I love this Restaurant. I go there at least once a week because the food is amazing. The wait staff is totally friendly and nice and I simply melt over the chicken burritos. I never have a bad time when I go here and I have brought all of my friends here. If you want authentic Mexican food and a great time at a good price go here.

    Friendly addition to the neighborhood

My friend and I loved the green mole enchiladas! The ambiance is a step or two above the usual institutional feel of low-priced Mexican joints--doodads on the walls and cheerful oilcloth tablecloths liven things up. It might, however, be too funky to bring your proper out-of-town aunt to. Unless she's a good sport about walking through the kitchen to find the restroom. Best of all: the service is really, really friendly. Zero attitude, big smiles, nice folks.
