    Great! Will Call Back......

Just had El Jalepeno delivered for the first time - finally good mexican delivery. The ingredients (steak fajita, guacamole) were fresh, hot and the delivery was quick. The gentleman taking my order was also very friendly. I will definitely order again - and would like to visit the restaurant soon.

    Mexican that Californians will love

Excellent Mexican, truly authentic. Haven't had any this good since I left southern Cali.

Finally! Delicious Mexican in Park Slope

LOVE this restaurant. We've had the enchiladas verdes, enchiladas rancheras, chicken burrito, bean cheese and guacamole burrito, steak quesadilla, and they've all been exceptional! The meat is high quality, well seasoned, and well cooked. The rice and beans are tasty, and the free chips and salsa are AMAZING. The salsa is really delicious, just the perfect amount of spicy! Also had the sopapillas which are fantastic. Prices are reasonable about $8-12 for entrees. Highly recommended!

    Awesome Mexican food

I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food in general, but I decided to give this place a try since my boyfriend loves Mexican food. We both had the combo fajitas, which come with chicken, steak, and shrimp. The meat was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, unlike most fajitas I've eaten before. The owner, who was also our waiter, was attentive and friendly. Although the decor isn't terribly interesting, the food more than made up for the bland atmosphere. I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the menu!

    Wonderful service, wonderful personalities.

Delicious food. The owner is quirky, but beams with pride for his restaurant. Delivery is lightening quick. I've never had a problem with them getting the order right, or missing an item.

    Great Food, Nice People

We have tried almost all of the Mexican restaurants in Park Slope. We really like El Jalapeno - the owner is very nice, delivery is quick, and, most importantly, the food tastes fresh and the portions are generous.

    Jala!(peno)

My boyfriend and I ate here today. Sure, the ambiance isn't perfect in the traditional sense, but the decor is all sorts of fun, the music keeps you happy, and the owner is lovable. But even if you don't care about all that, the food is amazing, filling, and cost about what it should. The tortillas chips are super fresh too and warm, and the salsa is delicious. They also have lots of fresh fruit drinks - (the boyfriend had the cantaloupe, which was refreshing). I had the Crispy Tacos and he had the Enchiladas Verde, and we both cleaned our plates. We both recommend it, and we look forward to coming back. The owner said they're getting their liquor license soon too so that's a bonus. Jala!
