The food is great. The portions are generous. Delivery is timely even in heavy rain or snow. I've never received a cold meal. Kudos for their willingness to tweak an order to suit my preference. What else can you ask for?

Just ordered delivery from here. food came quick but it was cold and unappetizing. we ordered a taco salad that came as a small one cup size taco shell with chicken and cheese. the quesadillas were small cubes with damp flour tortillas. do not fall for it.

I adore this Mexican restaurant, and have been ordering delivery regularly for over a year. Have never had problems. Once in a while the quality varies slightly, but in a very minor way, like the enchiladas not having as much sauce as I like. But then I asked for extra sauce the next time, and have never had a problem again. Too bad to read complaints as they're all so incredibly nice, in my experience it's been excellent service from start to finish. Perhaps I'm lucky, but more likely the folks with bad experiences caught them at an off moment. But more importantly, their food is fab. First. the guacamole con totopos - fresh fried corn chips and fresh smashed guac, usually as good as any I've had made tableside in a restaurant. Second, love the burritos and quesadillas. Third, ENCHILADAS just like I had in LA. Very hard to come by in NYC, authentic Cali-Mex. They have my vote for best Mexican in the Slope, at least.

We really love the food here. It is much better when you eat there! But with a toddler we don't get to eat out much anymore. The fajitas are amazing! We have had a problem with delivery once or twice (but only with things like forgetting the guacamole or side order of rice), and both times they were quick to fix and send the missing items.

The woman on the phone was extremely nice...after that it all went down hill. To start the food took an hour and a half. We ordered the Enchilada Verde, Enchilada Rancheras, and the guacamole con totopos. Everthing was just bad; the enchiladas were cold and soggy, I couldn't even see the verde green sauce, the rice way over cooked, barely and beans on the plate, the guacamole was under seasoned and had way too much lime juice (you couldn't taste anything but the lime), the salsa was runny and had no flavor. Total the bill cost me $38.....not worth it!

Great tasting food and drinks, love the enchiladas verdes and fresh watermelon juice. Also, good portions for the price. Many restaurants in the area are pricey, so this is my new favorite spot when I want to eat out without spending a fortune. Service is also excellent!

El Jalapeno makes decent food but is going down hill. Last week I placed a delivery order with them but the food never came. I tried again tonight, waited over an hour and the order was wrong. I called them back and the manager refused to speak to me.
