Special time with family
I live in Charlotte, NC. My future son-in-law and daughter live in Washington Heights. We have been to El Conde twice and we have not been disappointed. The quality of the food is excellent. Perhaps this is not a place for someone in a hurry but that is what makes it special for me and my family.

Too expensive
Way to expensive for little food. There is plenty of other places with the same skirt steak for a lot less.

Excellent food. Expensive prices.
The food has great taste, especially if you order anything from the grill. It's fresh and the cook it to your liking. The prices are a little expensive considerring that they are in washington Heights. The service is also poor and it would be nice if the waiter/waitress spoke english. But the food is definately worth buying

Customer service issues
The food took forever to be ready, the service was poor... had been treated with a bad attitude... I definitely won't go to that place ever again!

Best skirt steak ever
Go there, get the skirt steak (churrasco) and you will love it. It is delicious. Its enough for 2 to share.

Excellent Steak!
I don't normally find myself in this neighborhood, but we had tickets to see Elvis Costello at the United Palace and found few options nearby, so we tried El Conde. Because of the concert, they were very busy and there isn't much room to wait for a table, so we went outside. Subsequently, the host gave away our table when our name was called, so our wait for a table was prolonged. I understand that it was a busy night and that is probably the reason why the service was so slow, but the staff was pleasant. The food was simply wonderful - my sister and I had steak (we could've shared an order, as they were very large), my husband had the breaded pork steak and my brother in law had the chicken sandwich. We were all very pleased with the food quality and generous portions. I had the best Mojito ever! I would absolutely recommend El Conde.
