It stands out!
I've been going to El Cofre for years! So glad it still stands out among the many newcomers! The baked chicken, yellow rice and black beans are my favorites. The beef stew is also very tasty. Service is usually pretty good/friendly. The lunch special is $5 and the portion is good for the price. I recommend it this neighborhood restuarant!

Good Stuff
Fast, cheap and efficient, unlike the nearby Cuban place 'Mojito', at which they are unbelieveable stupid, slow and overpriced for the area.

Umm Umm Good!
I don't have too much to say other than hands down the best roast chicken ever. OMG. Seriously.I wish I didn't discover it cause now every day I get half a chicken. I can't stop eating it.

Very good latin food for a low price. Huge portions, big enough for 2. Fast and great service. Great delivery the place is like a cheap cafeteria. Definitely on my cellphone contacts...

Good Caterers
Our school catered food from this place for a parent teaher event. We were pleasantly suprised at how ell the food was presented for our community. Although they arrived 30 minutes late the food was well worth the wait! Our guests and parents raved about the food such as roast pork, baked chicked, stewed chicken, and rice and beans. A homemade salad dressing topped off a lovely salad. The price was not as reasonable as we would have expected for a school event. All in all, the food was great!

great food!
This small place in the hub of Brooklyn is a secret to many spanish food lovers. Although small, the food packs a mighty punch for the hungry belly with little money to spare. The atmosphere has had a slight update over the years, it is rather dismal, yet it does not take away from the great smell from the kitchen and the tastes of fine spanish food. The spanish chicken is fabulous topped with a cup of black beans and a white rice. For a more traditional spanish taste, try to pernile which is seasons and baked to perfection. So for a big bite, try this unknown spot to many lovers of spanish foods.
