El Centro
After much debating my boyfriend and I settled on El Centro for Mexican food. We were able to get a table outside on a nice Saturday night. The windows to the restaurant were open so we could hear the music inside but it wasn't so loud that we had to scream to hear each other speak. Our waiter was very nice and even brought us "extra" chips and salsa when he had forgotten to bring them. We each had a burrito, I had the vegetable and he had the steak, both which were very good. El Centro had good atmosphere, good food, good service and a reasonable price. We would go back.

Mediocre..Easily passable!
We were there last night with my in-laws for Father's day. I was expecting a wait as they don't accept reservations but the seating host had a bit of an attitude which was unasked for. I was told my table would not be ready for another 20-30 mins. Any normal person would check back in 20. I did no different and was told they had several tables but had to keep giving them away as we were nowhere to be seen! Our server was extremely sweet though. Food was just ok. Guac did not taste as fresh; had huge uncut pieces of avacado. Mahi Mahi taco was very tasteful but don't think we will be returning. I am sure there are places that serve better mexican.

Special Day
My fiance and I went to this restaurant on a cold December day after he proposed in Central Park. The restaurant was cozy, service was excellent and the burritos were tasty! I would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner. Be sure to order the sangria!

Yummy!
This was my first time to eat here and I was not disappointed! We had the Chips and Guacamole and the Plantains to start...they were some of the best I have had...the salsa was great too. I had the Hanger Steak Enchiladas and I would recommend them. Definately great place to go and get fantastic mexican food!

Excellent food and quality
Wow, went to this place based on other reviewers and we loved it. Food quality and service was awesome. We've been back a few times. The only thing i wish we could do is make a reservation since the wait was 25min on a sat. night but it was worth it. Feels like you took a step into mexico for an hour. Take a chance, go!

Fantastic Enchiladas
I've been to this restaurant for both dinner and lunch and it has yet to disappoint. I've sampled their red, green, and mole sauces and each is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend the hanger steak enchiladas and their chips and guac are great. While the drinks are a bit pricey they definitely pack a punch. Happy eating!

Good food, outdated website
We went for brunch on a Sunday. The food was fresh and not greasy at all, but we were disappointed because the brunch menu in the restaurant was completely different (and a lot less exciting) than the brunch menu on the website. The pancakes are really good -- really think and fluffy but just filling enough.
