Service is too poor to keep coming back
I frequented this restaurant regularly and since its a local establishment I would go along with the spotty service. I love supporting local business. Unfortunately, after all these years and coming back time and time again. This morning sitting at a table, another table came into the restaurant. I ordered a tea to-go and my friend was waiting for a menu to eat in. After about 10-minutes we look over to see the next table has all their food. We had not even gotten menus/water or the tea to go. When I asked the waitress she replied she was busy. Which is laughable as there were only 2-tables in the entire restaurant. Even still as a waitress you need to service the people that come in. Saying you're too busy to give water or menus while a later table has received all their food is just not good service.

Go before its too late
Its one of the last old school latino places. The neighborhood is changing and hopefully the landlord will be reasonable so they can stay in business. Some of the better roasted chicken in the city with rice beans and salad for under $9. I love the goat stew, go you wont be disapointed, last comment killer cafe con leche.

The Best!
Everything about this place is great. If you've never had mofongo then you should go get some now. That or any of the sandwiches. Keep it coming!!

cuban to die for
well..this is not the place for yuppie crowd, no no no... no red velvet rope, no silly hostess.- no reservations or over hyped menus. This is your typical Latino joint, good simple food at a decent price for the L.E.S.- The best Cuban sandwich I had north of Miami

Eh
I walk in no one looks up or greets you. You walk to the counter and stand there until someone says something no eye contact! The waitress stands in the corner eating while the grill lady grunts and conplains at what you order. The chicken sandwhich was too hard for her that day so she told my pregnant coworker can she order somsing else? um no lady! My job has a very loyal bunch so they see us eveyday. Now the prices have gone and tax is charged now. Due to the new credit card computers which didnt work on Friday when I needed it. so my food was $22.50 for two orders of chicharon de pollo(fried chicken chunks) with rice and a small cup of beans. Never ever again! now my coworkers go to the food truck down the block

Great food
I dined at this restaurant over a year ago and had a disappointing experience. I actually noticed that they had a new sign and decided to go in and check it out again...well the change is great and so is the food!! I was willing to put aside the one bad service to try them again. Glad I did - Keep up the good work!! :)
