The Caribbean spot...
Atmosphere pleasant and cozy. Air conditioned a plus we came from a Yankee game and decided to go into Spanish Harlem. This place is easy to find and soon as you open the door all the aromas hit your senses. Water and bread was served first. Toasted just the way I like it. Garlic inside very tasty. The waitress uniform was red and black while the chef wore a white outfit bringing the food out smoking hot. My mofongo with chicken was huge. Red tomatoes popped out in the salad. The rotisserie chicken took 10 minutes longer but was worth the wait hot and like butter in your mouth. Floors were clean and wall was is brick layered nicely...Pink curtains and table clothes matched nicely. Flat screen to the right was clear. Music was mostly bachata pleasant to listen to while eating. In my opinion this place is a plus to the community and a extra star for the commitment to authentic Caribbean food.

Best Latin Food in El Barrio
If you want great latin food in East Harlem you have to go to El Caribeno. It was recently renovated and reopened and the food is even better. The place is bright, clean, and the food tastes great. The peppered steak is to die for and the rotisserie chicken is always great. You can get your food to go or stay and enjoy it in a much improved atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Great Food
I have been eating here for years, I have the thighs to prove it! Great great great food, if you like seafood and you like garlic, please try the mofongo con Camarones (shrimp)...only food from the Island of Puerto Rico has been able to compare. Food is good, beer is cold, floors are dirty, so take it to go!

Bring Your Appetite
If you're looking for flashy, trendy or swanky look elsewhere. But if you want really good Caribbean fare and plenty of it at very reasonable prices then head on down to El Caribeno tonight. Pretty much anything on the menu will please and you won't believe the portions...you WILL be taking a doggy bag with you.
