rushed
We had reservations for 6PM some of our party didnt get there till later. The staff constanly keep reminding us that there was a later reservation-- making us feel like we had to swallow ur food down! Appertizers are better than main course.

Sooooo nice!
I've been there a couple times and all I really have to say is that it's excellent in every way. Absolutely delicious food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere, pleasant music and very, very tasty sangria. The prices are reasonable; you will never find such a flavorful and soft meat anywhere in NYC for U$18. Love it

excellent food service a disappointment
I have eaten here a couple of times since its opening and was very impressed with the food and atmosphere. I've introduced quite a few of my friends to the place. The guacamole is amazing enough reason to go there in the 1st place. I've tried quite q few items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Wine selection also great and suits all the dishes. The only thing negative I have to say about this place is i recently went there with family visiting from out of town and our waitress couldn't have been less interested in serving us, it was a very busy night but always is when I've been there in the past. After having a really nice meal felt we were rushed out of the place which kind of left a sour note to the whole experience pity because all and all this place is great otherwise.

Gem
The unassuming restaurant facade belies how delicious the food and atmosphere is inside. Everything we had, from 2 appetizers (such good ceviche) to our meals and desserts were delish. I absolutely loved the paella, maybe it could have been a bit bigger, but was very good. I would definitely try it and keep going back myself.

Obnoxiously Overpriced
didn't really like it very much for the price, steak was okay but the paella was way way under-portioned. Service was okay bordering on not okay. All in all I wont be going back and don't recommend it.

My new fave restaurant!
The entrana steak (skirt steak) is the best steak i've ever had, so good that every time i've been to this restaurant i have to order it. The fries are amazing too. I wish they had more sides to choose from. The atmosphere is good, it can get really packed, but its still cozy - i just hope they don't pack too many people in on top of each other in the lovely back yard. The owners & servers are really friendly. Definitely a great restaurant.

OMG, the skirt steak is delicious!
my boyfriend and I went to El Almacen the other night, after a friend told me about it, and WOW, i love it! it is such a cozy and well lit place! we sat outside in the back, and the candles were oh so romantic! my sangria was delicious, and i couldnt even finish my skirt steak (it comes on a plate that resembles a tree stump,very earthy, nice touch!!!), so i took the rest home, and made steak and eggs for breakfast the following morning! so yummy!! and oh, they only have 4 desserts (and we ordered 3 of them, i know, we couldnt decide which one to get) and they were all awesome! i loved the banana crepe and also the churros! the chocolate cake was also warm and gooey and fantastic! and my server was very sweet!
