    Obnoxiously Overpriced

didn't really like it very much for the price, steak was okay but the paella was way way under-portioned. Service was okay bordering on not okay. All in all I wont be going back and don't recommend it.

    My new fave restaurant!

The entrana steak (skirt steak) is the best steak i've ever had, so good that every time i've been to this restaurant i have to order it. The fries are amazing too. I wish they had more sides to choose from. The atmosphere is good, it can get really packed, but its still cozy - i just hope they don't pack too many people in on top of each other in the lovely back yard. The owners & servers are really friendly. Definitely a great restaurant.

OMG, the skirt steak is delicious!

my boyfriend and I went to El Almacen the other night, after a friend told me about it, and WOW, i love it! it is such a cozy and well lit place! we sat outside in the back, and the candles were oh so romantic! my sangria was delicious, and i couldnt even finish my skirt steak (it comes on a plate that resembles a tree stump, very earthy, nice touch!!!), so i took the rest home, and made steak and eggs for breakfast the following morning! so yummy!! and oh, they only have 4 desserts (and we ordered 3 of them, i know, we couldnt decide which one to get) and they were all awesome! i loved the banana crepe and also the churros! the chocolate cake was also warm and gooey and fantastic! and my server was very sweet!

    Service was non-existent

We had a reservation for 8:30 and were seated promptly, but that's where anything prompt ended. We waited 27 minutes for someone to come over and take our order, and then proceeded to wait another 25 before our starters showed up. No one came to check on us, explain the long wait, offer another drink, throw some bread our way, etc. After our starters were cleared we waited another 30 minutes for our meals. The food was good, but definitely not good enough to justify the wait. My pork was dry, and overcooked, but still edible. When we finally did get our food, someone took my corn away before I had finished eating it! It seemed like a joke really - as if you wait and wait for food and then they don't actually let you eat it! Our waitress was so MIA it was unbelievable actually. The one good thing about the place is the food runners. They were the only ones who seemed to be working at all! I definitely will not go back!

    GREAT food, rude bartender

Having just traveled to Argentina 6 months ago, I can honestly say this was just as good as anything I ate there! The service was spotty. I got there before my boyfriend and waited at the bar because they didn't have a table open. I tried to order a glass of wine but he ignored me even when I made eye contact with him and tried to talk. After like 10 minutes, he deigned to ask if I wanted to order something. I ordered a glass of wine, and looked down at my phone because my boyfriend was texting me. I looked up a few moments later and the bartender had poured my glass of wine but left it at the other end of the bar. I waited a while before assuming it was mine and taking it. I know some people will say it's rude to text in a restaurant, etc, but he could have put the glass in front of me! However, when my boyfriend arrived, a smiling waiter swooped in and took his drink order at the bar in about five seconds. Our waitress was nice too.

Good stuff - no longer BYO

The steaks we had were great as were our starters. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced for what you get. Our server while competent, left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths. We will definitely go again, we'll just try to sit in a different section. Also note that they now have their liquor license and are serving wine, beer and sangria. I didn't try it, but the sangria looked amazing.

    Avocado fries

Avocado fries. Need I say more? Highly recommend the Entrana and something ceviche'd as an appy. Additional pluses: Argentine waitresses and BYO.
