A Favorite Missed
No longer working in the city, I dearly miss this place with its warmth of atmosphere and good food. I took my morning coffee and breakfast here most of the time for the better part of a decade. Upon seeing me enter the door, the friendliest of counter guys would have a steaming cup of joe at an empty seat before my rumpus hit the stool. How can you not love a place like that? Eisenberg's is always my first stop now whenever I cross the Hudson.

I Love This Place!
I recently discovered Eisenberg's Sandwich shop and I absolutely love this place. I am looking forward to going back again very soon. I sat at the counter and was treated like a queen. I had the house special sandwich, the combination egg salad and tuna salad sandwich, and it was delicious! It was huge too. I was so full by the time I left there, and the bill was extremely reasonable. So much has changed in New York over the years, some good, and some bad, but thank goodness that this little gem of a place that stands across the street from the Flatiron Building, is still here as a welcome haven back to old New York.

Old Fashion New York
I really like Eisenberg's. It reminds me of lunch my grandmother would have prepared for me when I was little. Very straight-foward, no frills, but in its own way, it is comfort food. Sitting at the counter you might think you were in NYC of 50 years ago. They even serve egg creams! I believe they are only open for lunch - and they deliver. Also, service is very good and personal. Definitely a nice change for lunch now and then.
