A homey oasis
The best chocolate egg cream I ever drank, served with a smile on a hot dusty day. Delightful waitresses, wonderful history and character, and an excellent tuna melt - all in all, a homey oasis in the middle of the city.

Best evah!
My search for the perfect corned beef sandwich ends here... lean, tasty, moist, everything I wanted and more. Pass me a pickle, and my experience is complete. Oh wait, except for a hunk of that AMAZING carrot cake. Who makes that??? All I know is, it's worth abandoning every diet for. And speaking of hunks, have you seen the owner of Eisenberg's? Mmmmmm....

A Joke
Not fresh at all, canned tuna. Also, .25$ for a takeout container? It is just a quatrer but everyone gets takeout there because it is unappealing inside!

Wouldnt go back
Mediocre food. Rundown 'old NY' charm. No one is going there b/c the food is tasty or a good deal. Sign outside the door says it all, "Eisenberg's either you get it or you don't"

Inedible
I have no idea what some of these people are taking about when they write a review on here but I've been here 3 times now. Tuna Salad with so much Mayo I threw it out after getting home. Second time Corned Beef that was a sandwich of Fat. That also went in the garbage. Third time I got a Brisket. It was stringy, fatty, and had been microwaved. I actually brought it back showed them the sandwich and people at the counter couldn't believe what they called "Food". I ate some of the Fries so I gave them my sandwich back got my money for that and will never go back.

Sit up and take notice. Egg salad alert.
The ladies in some earlier posts sound over the moon about the egg salad - and quite frankly they should be. It is exquisite. I ate it with such gusto it ended up on the sleeves of my trench coat - and I am not ashamed to say I nearly ate it off! Smooth, creamy and full of egg flavor, if you are a lady (or man) who craves luscious egg salad look no further. I had an ES sandwich and a diet coke, and left feeling like...well...a queen!
