I don't know if the management has changed but the service and food were poor. The server did not know what drinks were available--it turns out the English beer available was actually one from Philadelphia. We asked about a dish we've had in the past and the server had to go ask twice about whether it was still being offered. The marinated chicken breast was cardboard thin and burned--what was not burned was tasteless. We asked for well done French fries and they were served cold and soggy. When we washed, we noted a dirty, full of garbage can next to the basin. That should have been an alert for us to leave before ordering. As we were leaving, the manager/owner made a feeble effort at asking about whether we'd enjoyed our meal. We were so distressed and embarrassed we did not answer. A great disappointment since there are few choices in kosher restaurants.

i usually never write reviews but after reading some negative reviews of this place and then going for the first time 2 nights ago I decided I had to comment. First of all, the service is great. They were attentive and not pushy. The food tastes great and they have a huge selection from kabobs to pastrami sandwiches so all your friends and family can be happy. Entrees are great but truth is the sides were good too, never had better mashed potatoes in my life and basmati rice and grilled veggies were finished in minutes. really tender pastrami and amazing peanut butter soufflé and tiramisu!!! a must go! i have been eating in the city for years and i can't believe i didn't know about it before. also i liked the lighting, on the dim side and they have nice booths so it can be a great date spot. enjoy!

The waiter made a mistake on every order at our table - we were 5. We put the appetizers (which were not great but we were hungry) to the side on our table in order to drink some wine, and someone came along and took them away without asking us if we were finished! The same thing happened to our bread...were they tellinng us something? The worst part-I received a dessert that was hard as a rock. The waiter said no, this is how you have to cut it and took the fork out of my hand and squashed the cake in half. I was amazed! Do yourselves a favor and run the other way - the food is mediocre at best, the wait staff badly trained, the atmosphere blah. Not worth it, trust me.

The food was good and the atmosphere okay, though a bit tight and noisy. However, what stands out was the service. When we came in there was a small crowd, but it still took a really long time for someone to take our order. It also took a long time for the food to come and for us to be able to get our check. The order also had some things that were not quite right. To add insult to injury, because we had 7 people in our party, the check came with a mandatory 20% tip added on. When I complained that this was an outrageous tip for such poor service, I was basically told there was nothing they could do. I won't be eating there again.

Went here on a first date, atmosphere, food, service, all was amazing. A bit pricey, but hey, it's NYC. Highly recommended.

Extensive menu, big portions, decent prices. Get the ribs- they're amazing!

A disastrous evening. We booked a party of 15 and were told we could order from the menu. 3 hours before the dinner, we were called and told we had to order the pre-fix menu which is twice as expensive. When we got there, we werent given everything that was to be included and were charged for many other extras. I have never been treated so poorly in my life and wound up paying more than twice as much for below average food. I would not recommend this restaurant. Their food, management, and service were disappointing.
