Nice Little Find
This is a nice no-frills spot to casually grab a bite to eat, get caffeinated and leisurely read, study or fool around on your laptop (FREE WIFI). The food is moderately priced and the atmosphere is really relaxed. You feel very at home here -- I never feel pressured to leave or eat quickly. I like it! Will be back to study in the a.m. and get something tasty to eat.

Great place
A place to have a cup of coffee read a book , have a glass of wine ,fresh salad, they play a great music. Everyone there is realy nice and happy , love this place

Totally disagree with reviewer regarding delivery. Something unusual must have been going on that day, because I order pretty much everyday and I have never had an issue. Food is fresh. Service is great. Love this place.

My home away from home
I have been coming to this coffee shop for 6 years now and am never disappointed with the coffee, service, and the friendly atmosphere. I have studied here for every test I have taken. The people are super friendly, the local vibe is great, and the brightly lit, warm environment, makes this the coziest, nicest coffee shop I have been to in New York. The summer, the outdoors seating is fabulous and the free wifi makes this place really conducive to work or study with no questions asked. The prices are affordable and the food is always fresh. A hidden gem!

Not recommended for Delivery
We picked Effy's based on the reviews at menupages and called them for delivery. We orded a Falafel Wrap and a Grilled Cheese sandwich. Our order literally arrived in 57 minutes and Effy's is only 1 block away from our apartment. When I asked the delivery guy why it arrived so late, he just said "I don't know" and didn't even bother to apologoize. Both the wrap and the sanwich were cold and didn't taste as we expected. Maybe the food is much better when you eat it there but we will definitely not order delivery again.
