    Overpriced; disappointing food

food is not the best quality and is extremely expensive! limited variety of baked goods, and muffins are much too sugary! 1 banana, small cup of Fage yogurt, and 1 croissant costs $6.25. however, ambiance is nice with great views and original seating and layout and a little reading nook, but it seems workers in this building are paying a premium for the convenience of patronising this place. for the feeling of being ripped off on the food, i will try to avoid in the future.

    Food quality

Amazing menus have been served daily. I feel the quality of the afternoon menu is much better than before. I also love the cupcakes and cookies sold here. Simply delicious!

    Agree that it's slipping

It seems that they've gotten stingier and the quality isn't what it used to be, especially the items in the salad bar -- chicken is rubbery and not fresh.

Not what it used to be

I was apprehensive when EET first opened. It was pricey, but was it worth it? I found out that, actually, yeah! EET was worth it! Fresh, tasty produce with huge portions. And the folks working there were happy to see you. I've notice over the last couple of months, however, that the quality of the produce has gone down, and EET looks to be joining the ranks of "fancy-worded food that is really not that awesome". The salad bar is still a pretty good deal, but even those ingredients aren't as fresh as they used to be. I'm happy paying good money for really good food, but these days EET seems more interested in making a quick buck for sub-par food. Looks like it's time to venture out again.

    Poor management

It's too bad what could be a nice option for professionals and students in the building is run SO poorly. Lines out the door while the chefs are standing there doing nothing. Doesn't take a rock scientist to know, order, pay, come back with receipt = efficient customer mgmt. EetsNow should be Eets when we get our act together. Sorry Eests, just lost a daily customer, don't have time for your inefficiency.

You will need to second mortgage your home to eat at EET

This place is extremely overpriced! You certainly pay a premium for the convenience. As it was raining today and I did not have an umbrella, my friend/colleague and I decided to go down one floor and get some lunch at EET. I made the mistake of going for their pre-made tuna sandwich that was sitting in the refrigerated case. For some reason, tuna just sounded good. I rounded out my meal with a small bag of Kettle brand potato chips and a San Pellegrino Aranciate. The tuna fish sandwich was of course cold. I normally would not mind a cold sandwich. However, the crust on the pumpernickel bread was hard and stale. The tomato was juicy and lettuce was nice and crisp and fresh. The tuna itself, however, was nothing to write home about. There was way too much mayo and too much dill. Cost of a cold tuna sandwich $8.00, Kettle brand potato chips $2.29, orange beverage $2.00. The cost of being taken advantage of, being a schmuck and paying $13.37 for my lunch .... pricey! Stick to the salads-made-to-order. The guy who preps them is cool and you get more food for the cost. It seems EET did not learn from its last attempt when they had to close two Christmases ago. Either they have no clue how to keep their food costs in check or they are just out to gouge the poor souls at 75 Varick.

    EET is not cheap..

There is no reason to go to this place unless you work in One Hudson Square...I've gotten sandwiches twice, and they were good, but a little pricey for the size and amount of ingredients, plus they are pre-made! I've heard the bread is from Sullivan Street, but i'd rather pay the money if the sandwich was being made fresh. ALso a problem if you cant eat or don't like certain ingredients because they are included no matter what!....Once when they didn't have what I ordered, I got something that cost less, and it took me talking to 2 different people to finally get my change! I'm sure if i got something more expensive they wouldn't have hesitated to ask me for more money! Anyway, this place is convenient and some place to go if you forget to bring you own lunch or don't know of the other thousands of restaurants in nyc....just skip it!!
