Food ok, service poor
I went with a friend on a Sunday evening and it was not crowded. We ordered a burger and a steak sandwich. We waited over 25 minutes and the server never came over to acknowledge the wait. Finally I called her over and she stated "she knew we were waiting and it would be out soon". The food came out after 35 minutes - I think she or someone just forgot to cook the food. Te food was fine but not worth the poor service. I will not be back.

Top place
Me and my husband had dinner at Edward's when during a three day visit to NYC. We found Edward's to have a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We both had the steak and it was cooked to our liking, not over or under done and it was really well seasoned - delicious! We'd definately eat there again!

To bad the service is so bad
I tried this place with a group of friends for lunch since the tasty French place next door was full. They seated us quickly, but the service went downhill from there. Our waitress was snotty, slow and careless. She spent the entire time talking to the host and ignoring our table. We ordered the wrap of the day, which was way to cheesy, and the portabella sando which was way to overcooked. The fries were tasty but not worth the cost. Overall the vibe the staff gave us for actually sitting in their restaurant left us all with a bad taste in our mouth. I'd never go back.

Great Food Poor Service
We went to Edwards this Sunday for brunch with some friends. One of the guys I was with ordered a ceasar salad with chicken. When it arrived the chicken was tiny burnt pieces (Basically the end parts of chicken) When he told the waitress it wasn't good, she simply goes "oh thats too bad." Instead of appologizing or acting like she cared, she was so rude and just walked away. Then later on when the busboy came to clear the table he accidently spilled maple syrup all over my boyfriend. When I told the waitress she simply goes "oh he may not have seen you." Not the answer you want to hear. She was so rude and never asked to bring napkins over or appologize. Accidents happen, but there is a correct way of handeling with customers. We will be back for the food and atmosophere but hopefully we never get this waitress again!

So much potential, but...
I used to eat here often, but stopped going. Is it time to give it another try? The food is average to above average, and the place noisy, even when it's not clogged with drinking revelers. Nice servers who don't pay attention. I'd like it to be great, because it's nearby.

When in doubt, go to Edward's
Hey, we were just there last night -- again. I actually decided to stray from my usual spagettini with shrimp and try the pene with chicken. My husband, as always, had the rigatoni with sausage. This place can be on our way as we walk home from work, and there are times our feet automatically will us there after a long day. The food is ALWAYS fresh and hot and delicious -- never a miss on the sauces -- and you can't beat the service anywhere in this City. Don't even think about it, just go!

Every-day perfection
Guaranteed great food, super friendly staff, totally unpretentious and comfortable atmosphere...the old reliable never lets us down...and kid friendly too. This is what Tribeca is all about.
