Bland lobster roll
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that I was able to speak to the owner, but the lobster roll was bland and tough. Try to brind the lobster with water salt and sugar to make it tender the flavor of the buttered roll was good. The clam chowder was very tasty

Worth the wait
Excellent food - all of it - even the salads. Wasn't expecting to be blown away, but really inventive and yummy. Cool atmosphere too.

Best lobster roll in town
Hands down they ed's has the best roll in nyc, why you ask? because they don't just give you claw and knuckle meat with a ton of mayo, you get the WHOLE lobster and it's sweet meaty goodness on a really nice buttered toasted roll. oh yeah and you also get these pickles that has really nice flavor.

it's all good
I am a native New Yorker, live and work here in NYC -- have been to Ed's Lobster Bar many, many times and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent and delicious meal any day and/or time. I found the service to always be quick and efficient with friendly staff. The restaurant is also always very clean as well. Not sure what the other reviewers were focusing on, but can only say good things about this great place.

We LOVE Ed's :)
We are in the neighborhood and consider Ed's one of our favorite places to eat. It's small but they always accommodate. The service is always friendly, and the food!!!!! Ed's introduces new kinds of fish that I never find at other restaurants, and it's always delisciously prepared...not over seasoned and very fresh. The scallops are a must-have. Portions are generous...yes, it's a little pricey but worth it.

Never come back again!
Food was O.K. The lobster role was fine but really overpriced, $27? Are you kidding? Lobster it self wasn't so special. Pretty bland. French fry and spicy pickles were O.K. but you can get that any where. The tuna tartar was good but not amazing. We asked for the check but after we were waiting for a while they told us that computer broke down so they couldn't give us check. ( I don't know why they can't just calculate manually. ) We patiently waited another almost over 45min. With this attitude and price with so so food I will never come back to this place again.
