    Just don't

A chowder house should make good chowder- right? Have had better from a can....Both clam chowders were watered down and under seasoned with nothing much in them. The New England- had such a strong pork/bacon there was no taste of clams at all- and we only saw one clam in the cup....the Manhattan tasted like Campbells canned veg soup- again no clams- The mushroom /leek was yummy- but that did not save the meal. The crab cake- was mostly bread crumbs and deep fried- I just drowned it in the sauce that tasted jarred- The green beans were split open like the ones you get frozen in a bag- overcooked and limp The french fries were good- For $350- I would expect something to be worth eating. The atmosphere was nice- the waiter was strange- the drinks were light- You can get equally good fries at McDonalds- save your money- go someplace else

    Could be more attentive.

I stopped in for a quick meal. Ordered the mushroom chowders and warm beet salad. Both dishes were fine, but your wait staff disappeared.....not a good impression.

    Great

I wasn't to sure about this place because of the other reviews. This place is amazing. The hostess greet you and make you feel comfortable. They ask you about your day while walking you to your table, I mean how many restaurants really care about your day. But anyways the wait staff is amazing, Management is very accommodating and very funny. What restaurant do you go to in NYC and actually lay eyes on the Manager ? Food is amazing very detailed, cooked well. I recommend the surf and turf, The lobster roll not to much mayo buttery it's just right this place is A M A Z I N G. I come here often and it is worth every penny. People will always have something negative to say don't believe it till you have witnessed it your self. Go and visit this place I LOVE IT.

This is the best restaurant around Lincoln center

I had mixed feelings going into this place because of some of these reviews, but my family and I had an amazing time. The food is excellent and staff very nice. Service was attentive and they made us feel at home. Will absolutely go back! The fluke is delicious

    I am surprised

I am surprised by some of the negative comments here. We dined here two days ago for lunch after a NY Phil rehearsal. Food was wonderful, wait staff so helpful, and the ambiance was great. Lobster roll was perfect! Will definitely go back!

    Great food- poor service

After they seated us it took 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order! She had such an attitude it was crazy. The food was great, but it was impossible to flag anyone down to get extra butter, water etc. and of course our waitress was never to be seen until it came time to pay. Will not be going back due to the service.

    Just ok

I have been to Eds 3 times for dinner. I liked it the first two times, but the last time it was pretty poor. The restaurant was half empty and we waited a very long time for our waiter to order and then forever for our appetizers to come. Immediately when we finished our appetizers our entrees came out and they were cold. Also the veggies that came with my meal were cooked in bacon fat (I could taste it) and it wasn't listed on the menu, I had thought it was vegetarian. I didn't complain, but I definitely wouldn't go back. The prices are high and the food only mediocre.
