Eaten twice at this restaurant in the last month, Schnitzel was always excellent. Service first time so so, second time terrible. We were asked pretty roughly to leave our table right after finishing our main course for a larger group that was showing up (even though there was more room at the other end of the table). Waitress reacted very unfriendly when we told her we would like to finish our drinks and leave afterwards. Won't go back.

Accepts no reservations. Asked to wait 10-20 minutes at the bar. 30 minutes later basically get told to eat at the shelf where perched on tiny, rickety, unpadded antique stools--or wait another 20 minutes for a table. Service totally distracted and disorganized. Spaetzle gummy and indistinguishable from overcooked Kraft mac and cheese. Ribs tender enough but bland and served with toppings suitable for a hot dog. Way, way over priced and way, way under good!

Excellent restaurant in a very charming and cozy atmosphere. Food tastes equally delicious as at the high-end sister restaurant Seasonal, but prices are cheaper here. Good wine selection of Austrian wines. It gets crazy from time to time as word spread quickly that this is a great neighborhood place for dinner!

The schnitzel was so delicious, the ravioli was lovely with a little apple and onion. We had a grain/beet/leafy/nutty salad we will be back for. The wine choice was a great suggestion. I love the lazy romance of the decor and the music and the relaxed crowd & waitstaff. Such a nice addition to the excellent choices on Avenue C. Take your friends here to eat then go to a show at Banjo Jim's or the Stone or Nublu. Everyone will kiss you with happiness.
