Amazing
I used to go to organic restaurant next to Edgar's , but once decided to actually give it a chance and see what this cafe has to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to see that salads and appetizers are so fresh and delicious! Their cakes are so tasty that could not help myself and ordered two pieces to go. Now I visit Edgar's at least twice a week or order take-out. No more tasteless food , but delicious and fresh cakes

The Best Cafe in New York!
Edgar's is the perfect Cafe for breakfast, lunch, light dinner or after dinner dessert and coffee. They have fresh delicious food, European atmosphere, great wine, cappuccinos and scrumptious desserts! Its the perfect place for a casual get together with good friends or a romantic date. I love Edgars!

Go for dessert
It's hard to rate the value because the main dishes are pricey for what you get. However, the cakes are fantastic. Less selection than their location in the 80s but it's less crowded with significantly better service. Perfect for a small group birthday celebration.

Nice atmosphere, too pricey
Nice atmosphere, nice staff but a little too pricey for what turns out to be a lot of lettuce and very little of anything else. Its a shame. If the prices were more reasonable it would be hopping. Its a great place for a first date.

Expensive tea bag
I ordered a decafe Apricot Tea without looking at the price on the menu. When the bill arrived I was shocked to find the $3.75 charge! Yes, they served it in a nice teapot but it was only filled with hot water and 1 teabag. Ridiculous!

Pleasant surprise!
Great afternoon spot for coffee or tea and a wide list of delectable desserts. I can't wait to come back for lunch or brunch!

A great place to meet up
I'd been to the other Edgar's several times - I think I like this one's ambiance even more, it is quiet and opens onto the sidewalk. The main dishes seem a little overpriced, but they are fine, and it's a great place to meet up with friends for coffee or dessert.
