A bit of cool for midtown

I go to eatery for the adobe salad; they put this sweet yet spicy dressing on it that's great (although fair warning: get it at lunch b/c the same salad is $2 cheaper than at dinner). The waitstaff is generally friendly and the atmosphere is more what you'd expect in SoHo than midtown.

    Speedy Goodness

I don't know what they do to the "eatery burger" but it is magic. The delivery is so fast, I swear the guy must sprint. Pricey, worth it.

    Comfort Food with a Twist

I went here on a first date and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The homemade pasta of the day is a great entree if you are really into pastas. They gave me so much food! Also, we had the duck tostada as an appetizer which was quite delicious. We decided to share the macaroni and cheese which was impossible to finish but quite good all the same. The waiter was very attentive and quite amusing! I will return to this place...it was overall spectacular.

    Bland

The food was surprisingly boring considering the reviews on MenuPages. We ordered the appetizer quesadilla and it did not taste like anything but bbq sauce. A couple of salads were tolerable, but we were all excited to get desserts elsewhere. The waitress was super. She was incredibly sweet and attentive. The room itself has a good buzz with a normal nyc mix considering it is stuck in the theatre district. For a quick bite, it's not bad, but don't go for the food.

    Awesome

The food and service here was awesome. I had a little bit of a wait getting to my table, but not bad. Try the meatloaf. It is the best I have had in a long time. The waiter was attentive and took care of everything.

    Eatery can be great/bad

Eatery can be really, really great or really, really bad. It all depends on who your waiter is. I have gotten pretty subpar waiters that make you feel like you don't exist. But I have also gotten waited by people who are attentive, warm and go above and beyond. The food will always be pretty great and the atmosphere is usually pretty nice.
