    Just plain fabulous!

I must say that the eatery is awesome in every aspect. the mahi mahi special was by far the best mahi i've ever tasted. the e-wich--to die for!! not to mention the incredibly adorable floor staff. i'm always ordering the asian chicken salad, veggie burger (amazing with swiss and avocado), or salmon club for lunch which are always consistantly delicious. however, this was my first actual dine-in dinner experience at the eatery, and let me tell you, it will not be my last!

    Food Not Worth it

The brunch is way over-hyped and I've had better food at a diner for 1/2 the price! My stuffed french toast was something only a 10 year old would like...mushy, too sweet, and swimming chocolate sauce. My date had the burger which was over-cooked and tasted like pressed sawdust. The french fries were limp and greasy. Never again. We are scratching the "Eatery" off our lists!

    Overrated

Food: not good Atmosphere: Tragically hip. Six months ago we ate at the eatery and had a bad experience, but we decided to give it another chance. This time it wasn't better! We live in the neighborhood and will never go back. I had the e-benne (their version of Eggs Benedict) and my friend had the Cheddar Bacon Omelet. The e-benne was the better of the two, but that's not saying much. At least the e-benne was totally flavorless, and that’s a real benefit compared to the Cheddar Bacon Omelet. Why was it so busy? The place has only two things going for it; location and no competition. The only other reason I can think of as to why people eat here is that they just don’t know. Be warned. Be very, very warned.

    A great sunday brunch

My friend and I try to have a weekly sunday brunch at least once a month. Last sunday, we decided to try eatery since it was always packed when i walked by it. We had a short wait and the food arrived quickly and it was delicious! I ordered a cheeseburger but they didn't have any american cheese ( this is suppose to be a New american place) so i had cheddar instead. Nontheless, the food and service was great. Eatery is crowded since it isn't that big, but if your in good company you won't even notice. The atmosphere is very upbeat but after 3ish the crowd just disappears. I loved the music since it was mostly oldies songs like "i will survive", "the car wash" etc. Overall, Its a rather cheap eat for by Manhattan standards.

    Great Brunch.

My husband and I went to brunch at Eatery after celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. The food was very tasty. My husband had the pulled pork tostada and I had the stuffed french toast, both were really good and full of flavor. We got there around 11am and had a short wait to be seated. The staff seemed friendly and the food came really quickly. That place was packed! I would def recomend it for a tasty brunch!

    All Style, No Substance

For a restaurant that is always packed, Eatery consistently serves surprisingly poor food. How do they stay in business? I guess this is one restaurant where it's truly about the atmosphere. It's a fun-feeling, lively place, crowded, noisy, and attractive. But for those who live in the neighborhood, it has a "I don't get it" reputation.

    Adobe Salad - Heaven

I'm a very picky eater so I was very surprised when I tried the Adobe Salad. It was by far the best salad I've ever eaten. I don't cook and I've been obsessed with finding a recipe for their honey chipotle dressing. It's a must try and repeat!
