Fire!
This place is fire, perfect for cold or hangover cure. You definitely know you have eaten after being here. It is THE best Thai I have ever tasted(* I have not made it to Thailand yet) I usually get the Jungle Curry w Tofu 'cos I'm vegetarian. Vegetables are crunchy & fresh & it is the only thin broth of the multiple curry choices but Lawdy does it taste Muy delicioso! I have just ordered take out as i have to go to work but my mouth is watering thinking about it! It is not a fancy decor establishment by any manor of means but the food is first class & you can bring your own wine or alcohol. I try & order from here only once a week for the past three years so as i don't take it for granted!

great take out
We got a few dishes delivered. it arrived quickly, steaming hot and everything was yummy. It was really cheap - $26 for a dinner for two and my boyfriend had the left overs for lunch... Can't rate it for atmosphere. But the best Thai food we have had in NY

This place is amazing. Inexpensive, amazing quality, and friendly. I always feel like I'm walking into someone's personal kitchen and getting the family's secret recipe. I order so much from here, they know my voice and face...

Amazing Thai from a hole in the wall
It looks like a taco bell from the outside, but this restaurant makes the best Chu Chi Duck I have had outside of Thailand. Probably including Thailand. Wow! The chicken satay is unusually good. The noodle dishes are solid. This is the best place to order in from, and I like it to bring a bottle with a date. If he/she can't appreciate the food because of the decor, they aren't a foodie. 2 thumbs way up!

lunch menu: pad kra prow and curry!!!
I've tried few lunch menues past 2 yrs and I would say that pad kra prow with pork and green curry with chicken is the best! for 5.50 it is definitely worth it. however I was very disappointed with their pad thai- probably more because I had high esteem after the amazing curry (the best!) but it tasted more like noodle with ketchup. as long as you get take out lunch special green curry from this place, I can say you did a good job.

nice people nice food
i've lived in new york for awhile and with all of the services and restaurants available, why patronize a place that isn't ideal. i've been a pleased customer of east village thai since last year when my buddies from a certain record shop (you know who you are) put me on to the pineapple fried rice. it is 'the business'.

Their pad thai is totally delicious, best in the village!
