I don't eat it because it isn't whole wheat but the hubby loves it and the fried chicken. I've read some of these reviews, this isn't a 5 star restaurant so maybe these UESders should just get over themselves it's a chicken joint. And it's really good. Period.

Ordered lunch from them online around 2 in the afternoon, half an hour later they called to say that they were out of an item I had ordered and the food arrived another half hour after that. I had ordered the chicken fingers and they were freakishly small, cold, leathery, dry, and inedible. The item they were out of? You guessed it, still charged for! The only reason I gave the food 1 star was because the side dish I ordered actually tasted like something.

This is my third time ordering from this place - the first time my chicken was ok but the sides were amazing, and for the money I didn't want to complain. The second time, the food was meh. Third time I ordered 1/4 fried chicken and two sides, but asked for WINGS only and I got two of the tiniest chicken wings I've ever seen. I called and asked and they said "1/4 chicken = 2 pcs" like they're robotic response was going to satisfy me? Luckily I'm huge on the internet. Don't try to substitute here, they'll find a way to rob you.

We had pre-ordered our Passover meal from them and paid on our credit card. Delivery was guaranteed between 12-4. At 4 when no one had showed up, we called and called and no one answered. We then went out and bought chicken and everything else. At 6.00 the delivery guy showed up. He apologized because they had screwed up badly, but no one had bothered to call us. We will never use them again

Hard to find good fried chicken on the upper east side but this place has done it. Delivery comes chicken stays crispy when it arrives. Will order again

I get food from here more than once a week & I am never disappointed. The food is always good. I love the Kasha Varniskas. The fresh apple sauce is really good. So is the Cornish Hen. Everyone that works there is friendly & helpful. The owner is especially nice .

At one point, this place was reliable for good chicken and side dishes. Recently, I have noticed that various sides have been too oily. But tonight I experienced another problem. Ordered simply and received bad tasting, undercooked food an hour later. I had specified well done. In trying to get a replacement, I encountered lots of attitude from the guy who answered the phone. In addition, it took more than forty minutes for the replacement food to be sent out, and the supervisor who ultimately took my call was indifferent and then nasty. I'm done with this place.
