Tasty and fresh!
I tried this place for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the host stand was extremely friendly and inviting (even though I was taking food to go) and the greek panini was fresh and delicious. The chicken was juicy and you could tell it was just made. I will be going back!

Diner food, but better
I have lived on the UES for many years. Been going to the same diners all the time, this was a nice change. Great Menu, nice clean place, has tv's to check the games while eating, and the food/service was above the diner norm. Only thing is it closes early.

Cute place, great service, good food.
My husband and I tried this restaurant today for a late breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the incredibly friendly staff, spacious and appealing atmosphere, and great frittatas. This is a perfect neighborhood place, and we are just sad that we don't live closer. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Brunch disappointment
Granted it takes a lot to "please" when there are so many fantastic manhattan brunch places. Unfortunately for Eastside eatery- they are going to have to step up their game. Came here for brunch last weekend and everything was just " blah" not poor, but certainly not very tasty. Greek Egg omelet, was made with cheap kitchen grease ( funny taste) eggs were not fluffy, feta was bland, salsa was canned on the side. Holondaise sauce on the benedict was just " ok" and certainly not great. Basically all the food tasted pre-made, like a chain restaurant in the suburbs. Coffee tasted like canned diner coffee, bloody mary was salty, premixed and made poorly. -- It was not cheap, and they will have a hard time competing in manhattan unless they revamp the menu. the only Good thing was the ambience, very nicely decorated, exposed brick and cool interior.

I don't need my kitchen anymore!!
I am so excited with the addition of Eastside Eatery to our neighborhood. My husband and I have been eating in or ordering from this restaurant a minimum of 2 times a week since we discovered it. The food is consistently great - and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend giving it a try...

a new gem on the UES
This place has only been open since early summer 2011. It is great...reasonably priced, food quality excellent, undiscovered so no waits. I live on the UWS but will make the trek across just to visit again.

really liked it
i ordered the bbq chicken panini, and it was *excellent*. the french onion soup it came it was really good too. they have an expansive menu so i will definitely be back to try other items. hopefully with a menu that big, all their items will be just as good.
