not good
We moved to the area recently and decided to order pizza tonight. What a mistake to choose this place. The pizza tasted like an elementary school cafeteria. It tasted like imitation cheese and it was tough/rubbery. And the price wasn't great either. Talk about feeling ripped off. NEVER AGAIN! Ugh.

Decent/Average
I stopped in here for a slice on a Saturday afternoon. Just your typical average pizza place. The pizza had to potential to be very good (great flavors, toppings, consistency ) however mine looked and tasted like it had been sitting out on the counter for a long time. They also did not put it in the oven long enough and it was only lukewarm. The slices were very large though so one was more than enough for a lunch meal. There is a very nice patio out back however we didn't sit on it because there were many pigeons everywhere on the tables.

Pizza quality going downhill lately...
Have you noticed that pizza quality in Manhattan is generally going downhill, while the prices go uphill? That is certainly the case here at Manhattan Brick Oven & Grill. When they opened (a year ago??) their pizza was a fabulous and welcome relief from the junk posing as pizza that the rest of the neighborhood offers. But maybe mediocrity is contagious, because now Manhattan Brick Oven & Grill is as lousy as the rest of them. Flavorless thin cheese, barely any sauce, and a typically dried-out slice. I've tried it five times in the past month, and it's been consistently poor to the point that I often toss away the final one-third of the slice. Oh, well. Easy come, easy go.

Their new E. 72nd location
Finally, an excellent pizza on the Upper East Side. You'd think we live in appalachia with the quality of pizza we suffer here in this corner of Manhattan. I had all but given up hope. My family is delighted with Manhattan Brick. Their sauce, cheese and crust are all applaudable, and they put all of their local competition to shame. May they thrive! And may the others wake up and smell the garlic cloves, since we'll never have to suffer from their mediocre pizza again!

Favorite pizza on UES
I've tried several UES pizzarias and this is by far the best. Pizza is the best. Great sauce, crispy crust. Positive experiences in-store and with delivery.

Food is great.. All else needs help
The pizza was awesome but the place is small and the service people there should be nicer or at least a bit more helpful.
