The Best Bagels In NYC
I order in from here every week....I eat a lot of bagels and these are the BEST! Also get the chocolate muffins (single chocolate) they are absolutely the best in the world. Don't believe me? Then order them in, it's not expensive (cheaper than most other shops on he ues)

Way overpriced!
Bagel was below standard at best and the price was way to high. $9.25 for tuna on a bagel and chocolate milk! never again

Fast and pretty good.
You'll be in and out the door in a few minutes with a decent bagel. You can't really ask for more. They actually make good egg sandwiches and have all the deli meats you could want sliced on your bagel for sandwiches. It's basic standard stuff, a touch pricey, but you can't really go wrong.

Frequent Patron
The Bagels and service are great. This shop is crowed in the am and at lunchtime. The guys behind the counter do their best to keep up. They may not be the happiest but they are friendly and do their best to follow through on special requests. Are the bagels overpriced? Yes! Does the owner place an extra 50 cents to $1.00 on already priced chips and other items that we all know should not cost so much, Yes! This frustrates me to no end! However I have to remind myself that rents in NYC for small businesses are too high and I would imagine being on a corner as this store is, on an Avenue is not cheap. So that helps me to justify why the owner over charges so much.

Overpriced
The food is good. The prices...c'mon $3.75 for a bagel and cc? I know it's NYC but that is a little high for a piece of bread. It might be one thing if they made the bagels in house but they don't. Staff is nice and food is decent so if you don't mind high prices...

Good Bagel Shop
This shop is on my corner and I go there almost every morning for breakfast and coffee. It's clean, neat, and the food has always been excellent. As someone else mentioned, it's not a fancy place, but c'mon, who cares? The folks who work there are nice, and you're never ignored while standing at the counter. Also, if you're wondering why the name "appetizing" sounds funny (I did), read this Wiki definition for "appetizing store" below. It's not an adjective, it's a noun and it means: "An appetizing store, typically in reference to Jewish cuisine, is best understood as a store that sells "the foods one eats with bagels." Cool, huh? Enjoy.

Good, Fast, & Cheap
These bagels are lighter and less dense than the ones at Pick-A-Bagel, which I have now abandoned for East Side Bagels. Sure, it's not a fancy place, but the fancy bagel stores don't always thrill me. The bagels at East Side are dee-lish, the delivery is fast, and service very courteous. I highly recommend!
