East Dumpling House

I ordered the first week it was open and LOVE the GIANT dumpling... That day I also had the Bulgoki, it was delicious but small. This time I had another awesome giant fried dumpling and we ordered the scallion pankcake and potato pankcake which we did not finish and both felt were normal and nothing special. I also had the curry beef which had very little beef, was gooey and imediately hurt my stomach and my friend had the eel which he said had very little eel. SO.. The next time I'm walking by I might go in and get a giant dumpling. Happy eating!

i have been ordering from east dumpling for 2 months now, regularly. my family and i have loved the dumplings, apps and the noodle and rice dishes. however the last two orders took forever, were cold and the last order was inedible! i am afraid that something is going wrong here. consistency is very very important if a restaurant is to become an enduring success. east - get your act together again please!

I totally agree with the last reviewer. This is highquality chinese comfort food. Not the fake chopsuey grease that is so popular in other asian places. The dumpling flavors are great. The "East Pancake" is also yummy. Good quantity for the price. The space is small and down to earth.

So satisfying to finally find a Chinese restaurant around this area with great authentic non-greasy Chinese food! Since coming to NYC from Beijing I've been searching for a nice restaurant that cooks homey food. This restaurant offers the real stuff for a decent price. Definitely a go-to for me when I'm feeling homesick.

I have never been a dumpling fan, but this place converted me. The pork and chives are sublime and the chicken and corn are even better than my girlfriend's mom's cooking (she's Chinese). Highly recommended.

Wow, so happy to have this dumpling place in our neighborhood. The dumplings were delicious - the wrappers were tender with good texture, and it almost seemed like they were made to order (maybe they were). The scallion pancake was really, really good too. Yum. I know you can get 10 dumplings for $2 at Prosperity in chinatown, but this is a different kind of place, with sit-down service and a warm ambiance. I've gone there a few times so far and will definitely be going back again.
