When it's good, it's good.
But when it's bad, it's pretty bad. I've had some terrific sandwiches, breakfasts and entrees, but I've also had some that were kind of bland and/or stale. The turkey club is consistently good. Be careful with some of the more complicated entrees like chicken a la king or the specials. It can be really hit or miss. Sometimes when the place is busy the staff is inattentive and rushed but not when it's late at night. The owner is a nice guy, he's usually at the front. Not the best diner in the area, but for something simple like a BLT or club sandwich, it's a safe choice. The prices are very reasonable and not inflated at all.

Great Food at a Great Price
I moved to the neighborhood a few weeks ago, I work a lot and have no time whatsoever to cook. I have been ordering from East Bay on a daily basis now since I have moved in and I have to say it's amazing. The food quality seems to be the best around and you can't go wrong with the price. Another cool thing is that they have a little Pizza shop right next door that makes amazing Pizza as well, they also deliver. I Love East Bay.

Absolutely the worst!
They completely got one on the items on the order wrong and then on top of that they had the nerve to ask me to return the whole entire order for a refund rather than apologizing and replacing the order. The cheeseburger was not all that either! so-so food and horrible service.

Very disappointing
The East Bay Diner needs to be dropped in the East River. My husband and I went to breakfast there. My toast and hush browns were burnt. My husband's pancake was burnt as well and the cook hid it under the other 2 pancakes. The waitress scurried around without listening to a word we said. I will never go back there again.

it's neighborhood and open 24/7
while some of us lament the loss of such staples as chicken a la king and chicken croquettes from their menu, East Bay still has a dazzling array to choose from. even if it's not always delicious, the fact that it's open round-the-clock and will deliver to you at 4am when that hankering for a grilled cheese and tomato hits you, deserves kudos. and try some of their incredible new desserts like the 7-layer cake - it's made by an amazing bakery in Queens and brought in fresh daily! YUM!

Real Diner Food
It's hard to find a diner that still has what I'm looking for, that's why I go to East Bay Diner, they use great quality food and it's open 24 hours, service is great and I always leave with a smile. If you like Diners you should eat here. NYC
