    Poorest service ever

My friend and I arrived at Dutch Boy around 9pm and waited to be seated. Although 4 front counter personnel saw us and made eye contact, no one stated the usual, "Welcome" or even "Hi". My friend believed that maybe we were to seat ourselves, so we looked for available seats. Two (2) out of the 3 tables needed cleaning; the floor was covered with trash - pieces of burger buns, bread crumbs, peices of paper napkins, straws, etc. Despite our better judgment and due to the late time, we sat at the one table clean enough to use. We then waited 10 minutes for someone to present us with menus. The same four (4) individuals laughed and chatted during those minutes, no attention whatsoever to their patrons. My friend got up and asked about service, to which he received an, "Oops, sorry." and a tossing of menus; no silverware, napkins or water ever arrived. After reviewing menus, we waited another 10+ minutes , the waitress never returned, although she continued to chat and laugh with her co-workers, picked up checks and delivered food to neighboring tables (Btw, this place is tiny!). We decided to leave but not before I spoke to the "waitress" and advised her respectfully of my disappointment and reasons for leaving (manager wasn't present). As we traveled to another location for dinner, I called Dutch Boy to ask for the manager and owner names for follow up purposes. The same "waitress" picked up my call and in a fluster handed the phone to the manager. She apologized, asked that I return at a later date on their dime. She asked for my email address so that she would send an email for my next "on the house" visit. I haven't received that email yet. I guess customer service isn't important for this establishment. I will never return.

    Should be much better...

Fairly steep prices for which you expect a fantastic burger experience. However, the burgers are so-so, and the food and dining experience can be inconsistent. Food quality is decent but fries sometimes turn cold soon after they reach your table. Burger comes with a huge bun that is a bit dry, very sparse greens, and paper thin tomato slices. Lots of room for improvement. I'm rooting for them.

    Hangover cure all

The food is amazing, and if you catch them on a great specials day you can try things like Bourbon Pecan Milkshakes. The service is lackluster, but if you can relax and enjoy your precious time its well worth it for the delicious food you get. The hangover burger really can cure a hangover and the fritatta is out of this world.

the negative reviews are a bit extreme

negative reviewers need to relax! it has some decent burgers and the prices are the same as vanderbilt ave, except i dont have to walk there!! burgers and beers, what to you expect? its connected to a bar, silly- you think you're going to get white glove waiter service? go play some skee ball in the back, you might feel a little better...

Lose lose: poor service, unappetizing food

I really really wanted this place to be good but its the total opposite. You're better off hitting up one of the bodegas for a burger or sandwich, in many cases they'll be better, trust me. its truly a disappointment that such a disappointing burger joint is so close to my building. Even when the place is empty the servers will mess up your order or just forget about you altogether in favor of checking their phones. Never going back.

    Not just burgers

Love the variety, not just burgers! Love the specials. Keep up the great work Michelle!
