    Dumping on the Dumpling Man

I think the dumplings are tasty. They aren't like the usual dumplings you get in China town which is why I like them. They have a doughy texture that I prefer. The prices however, are not as good as the dumplings. $1.50 extra for sauce (for already over-priced dumplings) that is no more than a condiment is not cool, guys. And if you don't think there's greed at play here, check out the shameless promotion. For $1 you can buy and wear an ad for the dumpling man in the form of a pin. (A sign informs those of us who failed math that we can buy 2 pins for $2.00!) Not a 'pin wearer?' That's ok because you can spend too much for a dumpling man t-shirt. Or thongs. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing such crap. In such a small place it would be nice for the management to adopt a NO CELL PHONE policy. Every time I go in there I'm consumed with wondering whether or not stuffing a cell phone down someone's throat could land me in jail for assault with a deadly weapon. I have a feeling someday I will find out the hard way. Will report from Rikers.

    Lacking

Sure, dumpling men on thongs are cute. but sadly, that won't make your dumplings taste any better. these were some of the poorest i've ever had. honestly, how can these even be passed off as "dumplings"? this is new york - isnt it?

    Food for thought

It is amazing what we accept in attitude for a good little dumpling. The pork dumplings were really high quality. The guy who takes orders was so rude and vulgar that it was entertaining. He was telling a friend of his about the night before exploits. This is not appetizing. But it was so dumb as to be banal. We hope he washes his hands.

    Yummy Dumplings

This place is SO cute and a GREAT place to get dumplings for snacks. Out of all of them, I think the vegetable dumplings are the best and normally, vegetable ones are some of the least tasty. If one did not know any better, it would be hard to recognize the vegetable dumplings do not have meat. Overall, I just LOVE this place!

    Over-rated

I thought their dumplings were a little tasteless and the found the dough to be a little off. You do get filled up, so I guess it's a good value if that's what you're looking for. But if you're going for the taste, i'd suggest you go somewhere else.

    Stick to chinatown

Looked like a cool place to try out but dumplings were just okay. Ordered one of each of their steamed dumplings. I recommend going to chinatown instead where dumplings are 5 for $1 and taste much fresher!!

    Fanastic Dumplings, Poor Service

I've ordered the dumplings several times and they are always perfect. I prefer the seared pork with the spicy peanut monster sauce. An order of 6 with edamame and miso soup makes for a solid meal. However, they make a mistake on my order literally every time. I recently went down there to pick it up myself to make sure I got everything I wanted. The guy behind the counter seemed more into himself than he was into taking orders. I was the only person in there and he still managed to forget that I ordered soup, didn't put in any soy sauce and was generally unhelpful. But again the dumplings are great and they haven't forgotten those yet. Good luck,
