Did Not Meet Expectations
Didn't like thick skin dumplings with not enough filling; salty roast pork (note that it was not the BBQ kind)/salty sliced beef and the 8 oz. sliced beef on menu was actually 7 oz. Overrated.

The cravings won't stop
need more roast duck seasame pancake sandwich! $2.50...are you kidding me? I love it when things are priced like it's 1985, but the real story is the food. The flavors are out of control at this place. Super worth it, wish I lived closer.

Great dumplings
Went here on a Sunday .. There was a huge crowd and service was a bit slow.. Had the shrimp, veg and chicken and basil dumpling. Loved the wontons with chili sauce and the scallion pancakes.. The pancakes were addictive could not stop eating them.. Would definitely go back!

Amazing-lious
If your on a budget and your looking for good, tasteful, n great quality food...then look no more because you are reviewing the right place. Vanessa dumplings will be a treat in your mouth, especially there beef noodle soup. Yum. However, its a lil small in there but the food makes up for it. Enjoy.

Wham! Bam! Pass another pork dumpling
We went there today and were amazed at the value..really 6 delicious dumpling a drink and only $3? The dumplings were fresh and delicious and the restaurant was crowded. People obviously knew where to find dumplings. Definitely go here and dont worry about your wallet walking away empty.

The Best Dumplings and Sesame Beef Sandwiches
When we lived in Manhattan I used to go to Vanessa's and buy a bag of her dumplings to steam/fry for dinner. They are delicious. My husband and I used to walk by and have a sesame beef sandwich, which were made in the tiny front window. What a deal. We're going to NYC for a visit soon. Vanessa's is always one of our planned stops. What's not to love?! The place is always bustling. They've expanded a bit, but the food is just as good as always.

Really good food. Really
The food is good and filling. The sesame pancake and steamed bun are 2 of my favorites. I suppose it all depends on your taste buds...if they're dead you wont like the food here. Yummy and on the cheaper side.
