DuMont
I went into DuMont the other night for the first time and was really impressed by the delicious food. I had the gnocci, which was really tasty and well balanced. However, I wish there were more vegetarian options as I'd like to go back but don't like ordering the same thing twice. The service was kind of slow, but the atmosphere is so charming that I didn't mind staying a little longer.

A must for anyone serious
I know what it takes to make the scene in the Burg. Some people here think they do - but I really do. I have lived here for a year now and I've been up and down Bedford Ave, Grand Street, and more. I know Dumont is a place to go. I know you want to be cool when you do. I've gotten more than a few glances on the L when I have made a fashion error, so I had it together when I went. The food was delicious, and the waitress was nice. I ate a burger, but skipped the sides since my jeans already cut off my circulation. In a few years I may have my 30th birthday here! Recommended!

not worth it
The food was great, but that didn't make up for the incredibly bad and slow service. Also, I felt I was at a venue for "America's Next Top Hipster." Simply put, the atmosphere and the service don't make it worth it.

super fun and delicious
dumont is fabulous! the garden in the back is mystical and the food is tasty. this place is simply lovely and perfect for special occasions or a delicious burger.

new to me, and great
im new to the neighborhood, used to live in park slope, where i miss all my fabulous restaurants being just a few blocks away. i was very impressed with the meal that i had at Dumont, im still fantasizing about it the next day. really, really good, from the wine to the appetizers to the main course to the dessert. the service was not so great at all, i will admit, the people next to us came in a few minutes later and were done with their meal before we were even served!! lucky i wasn't in a hurry!!!...but in the end a restaurant to me is about the quality of the food, and for that, its a winner. very pretty place too.

Looking good feeling gorgeous
Got ready - wore Converse All Stars, Short Shorts, a spaghettini strap top, art school glasses, and had asymetrical hair. It's didn't matter - no second glances - and an overly rare burger. Is this why I moved here? I like DuMont burger, but it's not as hip. This place is like that but with a shot of wheat grass!!
