    ugh

When I walked in with my two friends, we were told to have a seat anywhere, and then we were escorted to a booth in the back of the restaurant. The AC must not have been working because it was very warm and uncomfortable and not a good temperature to comfortably eat at. We ordered the mac and cheese for an appetizer which was really quite delicious. However the meal only went down hill from there. I ordered pulled pork which was almost black in color, and tasted disgusting. The bun was too big and sogggy, and like I said the meat itself tasted horrible. The waitress was unattentive and only had about 3 tables including mine. I would never recommend this place, and would probably never go again!

    Slow service and other issues

I actually happen to like the food at this Duke's as well as the other one on 3rd, however my last experience here was atrocious. We were basically the only people in the dining room, yet somehow managed to have the slowest service I've ever had. To top that off, we were served warm pitchers of beer, even after complaining about it.

    Disappointing

Everything we ordered tasted subpar. Drinks, lunch, snacks. I would avoid this restaurant. I feel bad for the wait stuff though.

    Hicksville Settings, Cozy Food

I feel like I stepped into a country bar when I first went to this restaurant. The girls were rude, the men were loud, and there were drunks at the bar. However, the dining area isn't so bad and the food can make up for the horrible service and the disgusting people who come into the restaurant sometimes (as long as you come with good enough company to make you forget these things). The portions are huge and can be shared with at least one other person. I recommend the chicken breast, YUM!

    worst margarita ever

went here for a great pulled pork sandwich - dee-lish, but the margarita was terrible and i gave it back - the waitress left the $9 drink on the bill. of course i spoke up. i will return as i love the food, but will order another drinky.

    What Happened?!?

I used to come to Duke's all the time and always had a great time. Now, the food is blah and over-priced and trying to get a game-change takes an hour because the manager is too busy sitting at a table. I'm not even sure it was a manager. The mac-n-cheese was not good at all. I was really looking forward to it. I will be back but hopefully, this was a one-time thing.

    Terrible

Visited Dukes because it looked like a fun place to eat and we were in the mood for barbecue. After looking at the menu, we realized that it wasn't really a barbecue establishment, but more of a roadhouse. We started with a Dukes Dip appetizer, which looked delicious but tasted kind of "blah." Also, it was stone cold in the middle. I guess that the cooks didn't nuke it in the microwave enough. Afterwards, our sandwiches came out. My fiance got the South Carolina Pulled Pork and I got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. My sandwich was also cold, and actually kind of flavorless. My fiance's sandwich was okay, but I've had better at other less pricey restaurants. Also, the most damning thing that I can say is that for a place that relies pretty heavily on the bar (since the food is pretty much the same quality as a TGI Fridays), both of our beers from the tap were utterly flat. Seriously. If you go in with expectations for food that tastes good, be prepared to be dissapointed. However, if you're looking to fill your stomach with just anything as long as it's filling and you don't mind the price, this is probably your place. Also, I don't know what the deal was, but it smelled like a sewer main broke somewhere within the building.
