Great Replacement!
I loved North West and was sad to see it go...so I am so excited that its replacement did not disappoint! I chose the place for dinner with my new in-laws and they were thrilled with it! Everyone could not stop raving about its simple but elegant decor and quiet atmosphere. Our waitor was super friendly without being intrusive. The food was very good; my halibut was a little overdone and I thought my husband's pasta was too al dente but no one was complaining. The deserts were delicious! I would hightly recommend giving this place a try and will go back.

after wedding dinner
We had the opportunity to use the upstairs room and all I can say is that it was absolutely WONDERFUL!! I had my wedding earlier that day in central park and our families headed over to Ducale for dinner afterward. We had been in touch with the manager a few months prior to the wedding and he was the most helpful in setting up the room to accommodate us. Our glasses were never left empty, the food was to die for and many of us ended up sharing dishes since they were all so good. Let's not leave out the dessert either...the flour-less chocolate cake was a hit! Exactly what we wanted.

Simplicity Works
When an unexpected number of diners took our seats at a 8pm dinner, we were faced with the decision of waiting for "30 minutes" or leaving. We asked if we could be compensated for the wait - via two glasses of Cabernet. To our surprise, we were! We sat at the bar for only 13 minutes and then seated. It worked out nicely. Food, service, atmosphere were all simple and pleasing. Overall, great neighborhood compliment - would go back.

Great Spot!
I don't know what the reviewers below are referring to - my husband and I love this place (and are fairly picky). We have been going since they opened last winter and are always happy. Some dishes are definitely better than others (the bolognese is amazing!) - I love the pizza bianca as well - its one of my standbys. There must have been an off day with the reviewer below. This place is really one of our favorite UWS spots- its cozy, great service and reasonably priced and very tasty food!

Worth a Try
The outdoor setting is quite nice: A quiet block across from the museum. Food was good but uneven: Mushroom ravioli were good; the orecchiette were a bit bland (ask for extra garlic). The service was impeccable!! And, there is a very enlightened corkage fee policy: The first two bottles are $O! We'll be back.

Not the best meal I've had in New York
I stopped in with a friend last week. I ordered a salad which was adequate at best. I ordered the fettecini for dinner which was inedible. Had no flavor appeared to be put together by a complete amatuer. My friend ordered a salad which was drenched in dressing. She had the special manacotti which was nothing to write home about. I give this place less than a year

Not worth going
We were seated immediately but the waiter took forever to come back and take out order. They clearly saw us just waiting and making eye contact. We started w/a salad which was fine. We split a bianco pizza and proscuitto and arugula panini. The pizza was almost not edible. I've never had such an unappetizing and poor tasting pizza before. The panini was good. But, I've made better myself. Wine was good as well. Would not go back.
