    Great

This is great for what it is. Nice quick eat...good tasting pies. The Earl Grey Creme tea is the best. They are always so nice there.

    Beware!

We got a promising looking menu at our doorstep one day and were saving it for a rainy day to order in. Unfortunately that rainy day came and our order was quite a disappointment! The pies appear reasonably priced but are very small . . . no larger than 4" x 5". We ordered two different pies as part of the dinner combo and weren't impressed with either pie . . . Not to mention, the less than helpful woman who took our order, charged us full price for Dub plate #1 and did not include the sides (mashed potatoes & peas). So we paid $11 for one tiny pie. Very frustrating experience . . . we couldn't even bring ourselves to call and have the sides delivered as we had already waited 1 hour for the order to begin with. I have been using this site for years and this is the FIRST TIME I have ever felt I must write a review. Highly disappointed!

    bland

well after reading everyones reviews i must admit i was very exited to try Dub pies as i recenlty moved into the area. AS a brit here in NY and having lived in Australia for 2 years i have eaten my fair share of pies and these where subpar. i ordered the No 1 platter withn mash and pies and i cringed when i heard the dreaded PING sound of the micorwave. my order came on a paper plate with mash that was stone cold and spoon full of peas which where pretty good with what they call a steak pie ? and i also had a sausage roll that again was just not good. i dont no what pies these people have been eating that gave great reviews but i feel sorry for them if you think Dub pies are good .the pie was dry and tatsted of paste as if the flour hadnt ben cooked out properly and the steak was tough as leather.i spent $16 on my visit and left walking home feeling cheated

    Great Aussie pies

Having just returned from Australia, I was missing my fix of meat pies. The Dubpies crew delivered steaming hot authentic goodness within an hour of my call, and the product was superb as always. No hesitation in recommending the food or the service...

    Delicious with great service

We order from here often, and have tried most of the pies - every single one has been additively tasty (and satisfied my aussie cravings more than any other meat pies I've tried in the city) - and their quality packaging keeps it fresh to your door and even for a few days in the fridge. Delivery has been quick, even near their closing hour, and the deliverers are very friendly. Their website's directions for how to re-heat their pies work perfectly, so we usually order more than for just one meal (2-3 make a good dinner depending on hunger level,1 makes a good small lunch). Once they randomly threw in (free!) several of their pastries for dessert, and they were YUMMY! I really, really like this place :)

Service is Down Under acceptable level

First time I call for delivery, no gravy...I figure let me get the Dub Plate the way it should be, I decline, at least they told me. Second time I order the Dub Plate, no mention of there being no Gravy. Food arrives, NO GRAVY! OK. The pies are tiny but really good. Not worth $5, but quite delicious. The mashed potatoes and peas in the dub plate? Not good, ended up pitching them into the garbage, maybe gravy would've helped, who knows. Third time, I call at 6:00, line is busy. Line was busy for a half hour, are they done delivering for the day?? Menu says open until 10. I order a Pizza instead. Fourth time I call at 8:30. No more deliveries they tell me. I mention the menu says 10 PM on it, "We really stop an hour earlier than that" I am told. OK, I point out it is only 8:30, not 9:00, but the menu says 10. No good, no food, likely no gravy either. Fifth time, there is no fifth time, i ripped the menu up and threw it away. The pies are decent but overpriced at $5 a throw and the Dub Plate? A waste of $9.50.

    dissapointed

I heard so many great things, but it didn't impress me that much. The guy at the counter was very nice though and the price of pies is good on a budget because they are filling.
