    Cold Food No Beer

I went there expecting decent bar food, considering their collection of bottled beer. Not only was the food just reheated junk, but it was hard to find a bottle that they actually had. The smoked ribs came out tough and cold on the inside, the wings were basically meatless and the old fashioned bacon was essentially uncooked. I ordered 4 different bottles of beer before they actually had something I wanted. They bartender actually had her computer on the bar, checking facebook, while we were sitting there. This place is absolutely not worth what they charge with all the other offerings in the area. Frank's Prime Meats has much better sausage only a few minutes away.

    the best

this place is one of my favorite restaurants in brooklyn. authentic (german? bavarian? austrian?) cuisine, good value, charming atmosphere and something like 500 beers, with 12 on tap that change constantly. Service is extremely friendly and helpful This place is an amazing, hidden gem, even if they didn't serve food. but oh, the food. They have the best schnitzel I have ever eaten - rolled with ham and cheese and fried perfectly. The pork special (pork cutlet on a potato pancake with mushrooms, onions, and pickles) simply cannot be described; it is crazy delicious and must be experienced. Their bar snacks are top notch as well. Ask for the beer croutons, which are fried pumpernickel bread, crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. the hunter's bites are little fried sausages served piping hot with house fries and killer mustard. I dream about them. Obviously not the place to take your vegan date, however.
