It's an exceptional place to have a beer with top notch bottles and vintage beer offerings. People were friendly and relaxed and it's a go-to place for knowledgable beer drinkers from anywhere in New York City. The staff is also pretty knowledgable about the wide selection of beers. The prices are reasonable, but not cheap. You'll only find high quality offerings here. It's really a place worth going out of your way for.

Good steak sandwich, although overpriced for the size. Great beer menu! Very nice, accomidating waitstaff, even right before closing

After hearing so many good things about DBG, my brother and i decide to stop on a recent visit to brooklyn. DBG may not be most people's idea everyday beer bar,but it is definitely worth an visit if you are a beer geek, the place was able to appease us both. we had dogfish head ww stout vintage 2004 than after that we had goose imperial IPA 2005 and we top that with samuel adams utopia. the food is superb, our server happy to make recommendation,i had Pulled pork sandwich with salad, my brother had ribeye steak. i love this place the atmosphere very cozy, the service very friendly and warm

david.b 10/02/2009 Came here today with our friends who knew of the place, I was really glad we came, the outdoor sitting was incredible and with the weather being perfect, the great selection of beer added to the outstanding food made it a good choice always, but as far as atmosphere goes, this place is really unique and just a fun place to hang out. If I lived in brooklyn I would definitely come back very frequently.

I've only been twice, and I've only had a burger and a brew, but (different burgers and brews) but both time they were indescribably excellent! Their Chipotle Cuban Burger is insane: thinly sliced roast pork, ham, swiss cheese, tomato, pickles, onion, lettuce, garlic spread, and chipotle mayonnaise on a rustic roll. Note...it is all that PLUS and 8oz Angus Burger. One of the best burgers this middle aged guy has ever had. Service: Friendly, but be sure to let them know if you're in a hurray...their natural speed seems to be relaxed.

most people go here for the beer as they should b/c the selection is unlike most other bars in brooklyn. However, the food is consistently amazing. Everything we have ever ordered has been great every time we've ordered it. Also, you can count on them having soccer on which is rare in most bars in brooklyn. Baseball does win out on Sundays, but every other day, soccer games take over. it's nice to have a sports bar to go to that shows soccer. it's a great bar.

I've eaten here many times and the food has never disappointed. It's probably the best bar food I've ever had. The burgers are really good and the tostadas appetizer is also. The beer selection is outstanding and they always have something interesting on tap. The service is poor, but if you can get past that, it's worth it.
