Nice staff terrible food
I decided to try this place out after reading all of the amazing reviews and I regret it! I got the steak tacos and there was more cilantro then steak. Also there was no sour cream or the hot sauce that I paid for. My friend got the chicken tacos and it was full of bones and cartlidge. The tables were not bused so we got it to go. The only good thing about this meal was the diet coke.

Excellent Tacos Hole-in-the-Wall
This place serves fantastic mexican in a tiny 3-table hole in the wall. Carne Asada tacos are delicious-- great quality meat, not fatty or chewy like much of the beef served by local taco places (evenby reputedly good ones). Plus, carmelized onions and fresh cilantro. Also, they have GREAT tamales-- good for me because, unlike at other taco places, they're made WITHOUT PORK LARD- yet still totally flavorful. Finally, DELICIOUS green hot sauce and mole sauce. very friendly workers/owners highly recommended.

10 places to eat before you die
I didn't even know I liked mexican food until I tried it, and let me tell u, I'm hooked! The steak burrito, the cubano pork sandwich(my 2 favs). This place is excellent. Do yourself a favor and stop in to visit the friendly staff, they treat you like family!

real mexican!
Whoever is giving this place bad reviews isn't used to authentic mexican food. Moving from Cali, I really missed good Mexican food in New York. There's good fusion/fancy spots but when i want that nice greasy authentic Mission-style burrito, NYC is not a great place to be. Thank god a friend introduced me to downtown mexican bakery. Everything else I've tried sucks and I'm only sad that I just found out about it recently.
