Dos Toros Taqueria

I'm from Berkeley, CA and I adore the big, juicy, over-the-top Mexican burritos that you can get in places like Gordo, Berkeley, or in the Mission in SF. Dos Toros did not disappoint me! The staff is friendly, polite, even appreciative of tips. My carnitas burrito was excellent--juicy, succulent meat, soft tortilla, great guac, nice heat to the hot sauce. The staff asked if I wanted hot sauce, guacamole, etc. Both the assembler and the cashier smiled and were courteous. Nice service! This place is special. I'll be going back, and hope the restaurant does well. I like that they're eco-conscious, but bring your own plastic bag if you plan on transporting your burrito any distance--the juices will soak through the foil wrap and ecologically conscious paper bag.

1st experience, amazing. food delivered by owner. cool person, amazing food. 2nd experience, no more delivery until after 5pm. placed order and picked up. still amazing food. 3rd experience, still no delivery before 5pm and NOW no more calls to place PICKUP orders during "rush time". oh well...popularity breeds contempt! but...the food is AMAZING! just get your pickup/delivery service in order guys. best of luck.

Loved the ambiance of this place. Very relaxed with a nice crowd. Beers are super super cheap which is nice. Portions are a good size and it's nice to see them prepare everything in front of you. Employees are nice and quick to prepare your order.

Been here 4 times. I like tacos and have ordered the "crispy" tacos. However after 4 tries they are hardly crispy. The chicken tastes real good but its a soggy mess. One time they just put chicken in it without the salsa. I mean do you have to ask a taco joint to put salsa in your taco?

heard great things from a friend, was told this was an authentic, Cali style burrito spot. What I got was a soggy tortilla filled with mushy, cream of wheat-resembling rice, bland, tasteless beans, non-existent cheese, sour cream, etc. Seriously had no flavor, consistency of mush, gross, regrettable. Why can't we get a good burrito in NY?

Look no further for a real San Francisco taqueria experience. I moved back to NYC from CA 10 years ago and have searched for a delicious SF-style burrito ever since. Many times I have been cruelly disappointed by famous, crappy pretenders like Burritovile. Dos Toros fulfills my longing for a real burrito. If you have ever had a Mission-style burrito you will feel right at home. the pollo asada is perfect. Nice decor and counter staff too. Perfection for what it is trying to do.

I ordered the chicken burrito. Service was speedy and friendly but the burrito was soggy and had little chicken in it. The price including tax comes to $8 and you get nothing included on the side, not even a beverage. It's not worth the price.
