    Ignore scathing reviews

There is no way you can walk out of this place and seriously think the food is tasteless. Everything I've gotten at Dos Toros has been excellent. You'll probably agree unless you are an angry person from the Bay Area.

    Completely Disappointing

I'm from Oakland and was excited to see a Berkeley transplant in NYC, as other Mexican food here cannot compare to that in Northern California. After buying food here, it still can't compare. First of all, the choices are extremely limited, the staff at the counter are rude, the prices way too high, and the food is basically tasteless. In fact, I've had better at Chipotle for less money. Save your hard-earned bucks for a trip to California and experience what real Mexican food tastes like served without the attitude.

    Vegetarians Beware!

There is chicken stock in the rice. The basic burrito is not vegetarian. They do not post this very well.

    Don't Insult San Francisco

This is not a San Francisco style burrito place. To start, the rice is cooked with chicken stock, leaving out the option for a true veggie burrito. In Ca burritos/tacos/etc, you have the option to add in lettuce, jalapenos, cilantro, onion, multiple hot sauces, vegetables...not here. They throw on a slab of bland white cheese, not mexican-style. Even in the Mission, there are always available options. Toto..go back to kansas!

    Really nice experience

I'm from Berkeley, CA and I adore the big, juicy, over-the-top Mexican burritos that you can get in places like Gordo, Berkeley, or in the Mission in SF. Dos Toros did not disappoint me! The staff is friendly, polite, even appreciative of tips. My carnitas burrito was excellent--juicy, succulent meat, soft tortilla, great guac, nice heat to the hot sauce. The staff asked if I wanted hot sauce, guacamole, etc. Both the assembler and the cashier smiled and were courteous. Nice service! This place is special. I'll be going back, and hope the restaurant does well. I like that they're eco-conscious, but bring your own plastic bag if you plan on transporting your burrito any distance--the juices will soak through the foil wrap and ecologically conscious paper bag.

    here we go...

1st experience, amazing. food delivered by owner. cool person, amazing food. 2nd experience, no more delivery until after 5pm. placed order and picked up. still amazing food. 3rd experience, still no delivery before 5pm and NOW no more calls to place PICKUP orders during "rush time". oh well...popularity breeds contempt! but...the food is AMAZING! just get your pickup/delivery service in order guys. best of luck.
