Dos Caminos Third Avenue

My co-workers and I went here after work and the service was the some of the worst I have ever had in my 5 years of living in NYC... so you can just imagine. The food was good, drinks were good, atmosphere was good but we couldnt order a drink to save our life, the waiter rolled his eyes when we asked for salsa to go along with the chips that he had brought out prior. He wiped the salt off of my friends glass (she asked for no salt) with a napkin in front of us, half of the salt landing in her drink! It was just so bad I will never go back...

After reading the other reviews I was hesitant to try Dos Caminos, however I had a business client that wanted to go so I gave in. I don't know what resturant the other reviewers were at but I had a wonderfull experiance. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a lovely hostess who directed us to our table and our server was quicly at our table to assist us, wiwth no attitude whatsoever. The food and Margarittas were the best I have had in a long time, especialy the frozen red one. I am definatly going back to have dinner and drinks again.

The food was average but it was a fun atmosphere. I came in with some family members who were visiting from out-of-town and I thought Dos Caminos would be a good time. The hosts were greatvery helpful and accommodating from the minute we walked in the door but the waitstaff left much to be desiredservice was impersonal, sub-par, and slow. The managers struck me as very insincere and pretentious walking around with their headsets which was very off-putting. The experience is one I will remember as being just okay - could have been much better.

A group from work went for lunch. The Tuna "tacos" and the cobb salad were awful. There are so many better options in the neighborhood, at a similar price- I won't go back again.

How pretentious do you have to be to work here? We got nothing but attitude and the most unhelpful server. The portions are small, the drinks are small and everything on the menu is over priced! I can’t understand why New Yorkers support this place! There are several other Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood that are less expensive, give great service and have superior ambiance!

I went there last night to meet a friend for dinner and the service and food was ok. I had to order chips and salsa that usually come automatically at other places. The tacos were bland and the service was mediocre. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Don't think that I will be going back.

I don't know about anyone else, but since when is guacamole, $24? We paid $48, for two orders of guacamole and honestly we make it better at home... The drinks were ridiculously expensive... We waited a very long time for our food as well. I will not go back.
